By the time I'm writing this it's probably not an issue, but it will be again and again.
Google search rarely directs you to what your looking for, at least in my experience, in XDA related topics. XDA search is the worst there is, well, all web pages search tools just turns out a Google search, which again, won't really help.
I'm not defending anyone. I always try to read as much as I can, and I rarely ask in any thread because all I will get is a "Google is your best friend" kinda crap, so I learned a lot of time ago not to ask.
I started with an HTC hd2 and in those forums, even with how complicated is to deal with a custom bootloader and how easy is to brick and so forth, devs and users alike got riled up with "questions that have been answered".
But honestly, beanstown threads always have thousands of off topic and non-dev related questions, so I don't really get why a lot of people keep trying to be smartasses and make others feel like they are doing something wrong when since the beginning this thread does not comply to XDA rules. I remember his s5 thread and it was the same thing.
My advice to "noobs" and "lazy" people is never ask. Read the op. And try and read as much as possible. And good luck. If at the end you still need to ask, be prepared for the rainstorm of crap from the "better" people here.
I for once, if don't feel like answering a repeatedly asked question, just don't do it.
It takes relatively the same time to type "use Google search" than (insert link here) usually or produce a helpful answer.
Just because some people spend all their time here doesn't mean other people do. It's not easy to comb through 30K plus posts, most of them useless to find your answer.
Don't get me wrong, what the guy (or gal) was asking is answered in op, I understand, but if your not answering him (or her) don't contribute to cluttering what it's already a cluttered thread.
This are not my 2 cents cause I'm not helping anyone. I don't care for that. I don't want to be helpful just like most "use Google" posts.
A lot more off topic, but have you seen how all your recent posts are not helpful but trying to shame people for not reading the whole thread?
