Do your cameras work? If they do what kernel are you using?
Camera doesn't work for me too. I flashed agni kernel and installed Cameringo app from playstore. Now it's fine.
Edit: Taking pictures with fingerprint scanner works on Cameringo. I tried and it works for fpc.

I can set fingerprint via setting but unable to unlock via fingerprint
So I have goodix fp sensor?
Go to /data and check if you have a folder named fpc or goodix.

They were just the first blobs i found. my thoughts were that i just needed something to satisfy the build dependencies, which those blobs must have done as the build completed. as to whether they were suitable blobs to use to actually work, i've got no idea.
I found the blobs for the 14.x branch. They were in someone's git repo. However it spit out errors when I tried compiling. I'll try to find whats wrong when I get some time. Wasn't something obvious. Google search said that there were more people hitting the same compile error without a solution.

I've had loads or problems in the past trying to build CM/RR/AICP. One of the simplest things to try first off is disabling the parallelization of the build, it'll take a lot longer but you won't hit any dependency assumptions in the build. I built CM14 on a ubuntu/16, can't remember which JDK i used.

Amazing ROM, just a few Camera related bugs I found-
1) Videos get recorded bu while playing only audio is there and a still image.
2) NO HDR option
3) Camera throws can't connect to cam while swapping between camera (sometimes)
Rest, its an amazing rom, hope to see a stable version soon thanks @TheStrix

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    What's working :

    Supported Firmware:

    Download: https://goo.gl/ZWTA7X

Must read before flashing the firmware: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=69940129&postcount=2108

Note: It is the firmware CyanogenMod supports and all users are expected to be on this very firmware. So it's mandatory that you flash this firmware via TWRP if you're newly installing CM.
You don't need to reflash this everytime you update you CyanogenMod build.

    Update

    Download: cm-14.1-20161123-UNOFFICIAL-kenzo.zip

    There's some news as well,
I recently merged Mi Max (hydrogen) support to CM as well, so here's the thing, device tree repos are now shared.

    Device Tree(s):
    android_device_xiaomi_msm8956-common: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_xiaomi_msm8956-common/tree/cm-14.1 (Gerrit)

    android_device_xiaomi_kenzo: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_xiaomi_kenzo/tree/cm-14.1 (Gerrit)

PS: New changes are on gerrit and not yet merged.

    Kernel Tree:
    android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8956: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8956/tree/cm-14.1
Note: It is a unified kernel for both Mi Max and Redmi Note 3.

So I request to test the new build as I have rebased the kernel and kenzo has a few code changes on kernel sides as well.
I have been using it and haven't found anything broken or something. Still I request to test it as it is most likely the last unofficial build from me before enabling cm-14.1 nightlies for the device. So just want to make sure everything is "okay" for nightlies.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

    Frequently Asked Questions:
    Q)OH MY,.. CRASHES!?
A)This is a very early build of CyanogenMod running nougat and things are still WIP.
You may experience number of crashers here and there. These will be get fixed with time.

    Q) Is VoLTE supported?
    A) No, we don't have it working with new M modem from Xiaomi.

    Q) Is Goodix FP supported?
    A) No. I have a FPC device and is hard for me get it work without the device with Goodix FP. Maybe, M kernel release (updated goodix fp driver) for kenzo in future might fix it.

    Q) Where are Developer options?
    A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.

    Q) How can I enable root access?
    A) Go to Settings > Developer options > Root access, and enable it for apps, adb or both.

    Q) I don't like superuser icon in statusbar, can I install SuperSU?
    A) Yes.

    Q) How do I update GApps? (Also useful if you have GApps related problems).
    A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + GApps. (Yes, without rebooting). Reboot.

    Q) Facing Settings -> Security force close?
B]A)[/B] Flash the supported firmware linked in Post #2.

Also I recommend people to use firmware from latest MIUI.
Issues like fp, cellular network related stuffs (not talking of VOLTE here) are because you using some old or "not going inline with cm setup" firmware.
I'll upload fw zip which will contain fw from MIUI 6.11.24 zip as soon as I get access to my lappy :v

Note: About VoLTE, I sure got it working with old lp modem way back (https://www.twitter.com/iamparthbhatia/status/789549745660243968)
But that was with old lollipop NON-HLOS which I won't ship/recommend people to use it. Simply because it don't go in line with current M blobs and has issues. Yes, issues.
VoLTE don't work with new MIUI modems not sure why, reason I haven't uploaded by VOLTE commits.

Camera, yes I am aware of it. M blobs do not go well on nougat due to changes in Android code base. Either N blobs or (maybe) some workaround can fix it. I'll look into camera if possible.

Thank you for all your support.
