Phone was off for few days due to exams . But ...

I held the power button and volume up until the device rebooted, and now everything is ok. Try it, it may work

I had the same issue. Solved it by turning on location services in low battery mode, allowed it to sit for like 5 minutes, then turned it off.
This is caused by a location related wakelock. Once you give it what it wants, it stops, since it only needs to know your location once.
Only with wifi on. Brightness medium to low in a dark and sometimes well lit room, so it varies. Also 25 hours and 25 minutes off the charger.

Well something is eating the battery. Show the app usage and use BetterBatteryStats and Wakelock Detector. If you have root use Amplify and Greenify.
It's your cell signal. The orange indicates it is horrible reception in your area and that is what is eating your battery. That and perhaps some rouge app/apps.
I deleted my screenshots but averaging 10 hours of screen time. I have brightness turned up about 75% and am not doing anything for conservation. This phone is just ridiculous when it comes to overall performance.

You are right, I have 8 hours sot and my bar is orange and red in some parts, and some apps that are not optimized for MM.
I notice that a lot of you have WiFi on and then show LTE as well. When I connect to WiFi the LTE symbol disappears and it just shows the bars. I have an unlocked Moto Z Play on AT&T.

7-8 hours of fanfiction reading, web browsing etc.
Charging took exact 120 minutes and the max temperature reached 38° while gaming and 40° while charging which is quite good considering my g4 plus reaches 46°..
