Bad news.My phone is dead! !! Good news, my son upgraded his phone (note 4) for the S7 edge and gave me his note 4!!! Never rooted, virgin. Well i fixed that, I'm back, rooted, and rocking the Dtux Rom! I was elgible for a upgrade too, but i love my Note 4.

i have custom ui sounds for charging,pen,lock and unlock,power on and off and i have lil weird issue that i cant figure out myself.When i plug the phone to charge charging sound plays i lock the screen and lock screen sound plays ,now while screen off and charging every 15 min or 30 it varies my lock screen sound plays even though im looking at the phone and screen never comes on or gets unlocked it just plays that sound like its already unlocked and someone just locked it .Its really baffling and weird if someone had this happend before maybe they can shed some light on it

Yup! I don't even know when my upgrade comes but probably not for a while since I got my Note 4 after the Note 5 came out. OK GUYS!!!
This is my farewell for 2016, i have enjoyed every bit of it with its ups and downs.
I decided to update the general modset as there were a couple little thing to fix (im of the perfectionist kind LOL)
Whoever has v7 up and running, dirty flashing will do.
Read the log for the changes and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!, SEE YOU IN 2017!!!!!

It's already there, hit your recent button then select the app you want in one view then you can select whatever you want from the list on the bottom, including the app you already have.

Ok I tried that, but it's not letting me pick the same app twice. When I flashed 7.01 dirty I only picked the N5 split view option and left everything else as no changes. Did I miss an option?

Ok I tried flashing 7.01 again, this time picking to install Modset (instead of just config apps), and I picked No Changes on everything except I did pick Split View. I also picked SuperSU and Busybox again, even though I didn't the first time, I wasn't sure if this would help.

Anyway, it works now! I can pick certain apps twice (as long as they allow for multiple instances. Titanium Backup doesn't, for example).

Also, PSA: Anyone who was not on PK1 before upgrading to it and Dtux 7.x, the instructions on Page 1 were not crystal clear about this:

You have to Odin flash PK1, let it boot. Then you have to flash Dtux 7 BASE, let it boot. Then you have to flash the Modset, let it boot. Then if you want Xposed, flash it then.

I was coming from PE2, so I had flashed PK1, but going straight into Modset just causes a bootloop. You DO have to install the BASE before the MODSET, even if you just flashed PK1. (took me 2 frustrating hours to figure that out!)

Im glad it worked out for you in the end, but my instructions are very clear on the first post regarding PK1.

Indeed, curiously TB doesnt multi instance probably cause it was force designed to prevent it

I appreciate your hard work carlosggb and 13druber. I just wanted to help make sure that other people don't have any of the same misunderstandings along the way. :highfive:

These instructions finally worked for me:

1. If you're not already on PK1, Odin flash (this link). Let Odin reboot itself and do its own thing. Then load Odin and flash TWRP (this link).
2. If you are already on PK1, or just finished step 1, using TWRP wipe everything (system, data, cache, internal memory), then flash Dtux v7 BASE (this link).
3. DO NOT FLASH anything else yet. Reboot and let it go through all its steps. Wait at least 20 minutes. Once to the homescreen, proceed.
4. Reboot into TWRP, now flash Dtux v7.01 MODSET (this link). Pick your options, reboot. Do not flash anything else yet.
5. After booting all the way to the homescreen, you're free to customize and flash anything else you wish, such as Xposed (this link).

Protip: If restoring data using Titanium Backup, only restore apps first. Then, restore only the data for the important apps. This will help prevent trouble with apps crashing and system lockups.
