Guys, try to keep tracking the changelog from time to time. There is alot information you could get by reading the changelog. Seems like next update will fix SD card, FP shortcut to camera, and others. And try to use search before you ask something, lot of questions asked too many while there are solution of your asked question on previous pages. Also especially READ THE FIRST PAGE. Thank you.

Sometimes, usually when I spend a lot of time without touching the smartphone, when I try to turn the screen on, it rises, but it turns completely black without displaying anything. I can even interact with her, even without seeing the buttons but knowing where her location is. It vibrates, receives calls and notifications, but the screen is only black. If I force the shutdown and turn it on again, it returns to normal.
Has anyone gone through this or do you know how to solve it?

Amazing man, please look into the camera too, that is the only thing left to be optimized in the near perfect ROM! Thanks

@TheStrix Xiaomi is going to launch android 7.0 in the Mi Max, from that update (the first beta) or dev, could you fix camera for RN3Pro?

Thanks for your job!

I extracted MiMax MIUI rom to check which camera sensors drivers are there. That's what I found:
s5k5e8_qtec
s5k5e8_ofilm
s5k3p3sm
s5k3m2xx
s5k3m2xm
ov16880_qtec
ov16880
ov8865
ov8858
ov5670
ov5670_polaris
ov4688
ov13850
ov13850_q13v06k
ov13850_polaris
imx258
imx230
imx214

For those sensors are listed above we'll get Nougat sources. I don't know if there is any matching sensor with our kenzo. List of our camera sensors below:
Rear Camera
- Samsung : s5k3p3_omida01, s5k3p3_gt24c64, s5k3p3_f16s01c, s5k3p3_f3p3man
- Omnivision : ov16880_omida05, ov16880_f16v01a,

Front Camera
- OmniVision : ov5670_omi5f06, ov5670_d5v01g
- Sunny Optical : sunny_omi5f06
- Samsung : s5k5e8_yx13:0, s5k5e8_yx13:111, , s5k5e8_z5e8yab

That TWRP isn't starting. The splash screen keeps flashing very briefly (a few ms), black screen, repeat. I am on officially unlocked bootloader, with the latest firmware (just flashed 6.12.15).

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    What's working :

    • Boots
    • RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
    • Fingerprint (FPC1020 only)
    • Wi-Fi
    • Bluetooth
    • Camera
    • Camcorder
    • Video Playback
    • Audio
    • Sensors
    • Flash
    • LED
    • GPS

    Known issues:

    • Camera and camera related features are buggy. Eg. Flashlight toggle works with 2 tries, random crashes. (Use google camera or any other 3rd party camera to minimise crashes)
    • VoLTE do not work.

    Instructions :
    • Download the latest build and GApps
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Flash the latest build and GApps
    • Reboot

Must read before flashing the firmware: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=69940129&postcount=2108

Note: It is the firmware CyanogenMod supports and all users are expected to be on this very firmware. So it's mandatory that you flash this firmware via TWRP if you're newly installing CM.
You don't need to reflash this everytime you update you CyanogenMod build.

    Update

    There's some news as well,
I recently merged Mi Max (hydrogen) support to CM as well, so here's the thing, device tree repos are now shared.

    Device Tree(s):
    android_device_xiaomi_msm8956-common: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_xiaomi_msm8956-common/tree/cm-14.1 (Gerrit)

    android_device_xiaomi_kenzo: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_xiaomi_kenzo/tree/cm-14.1 (Gerrit)

PS: New changes are on gerrit and not yet merged.

    Kernel Tree:
    android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8956: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8956/tree/cm-14.1
Note: It is a unified kernel for both Mi Max and Redmi Note 3.

So I request to test the new build as I have rebased the kernel and kenzo has a few code changes on kernel sides as well.
I have been using it and haven't found anything broken or something. Still I request to test it as it is most likely the last unofficial build from me before enabling cm-14.1 nightlies for the device. So just want to make sure everything is "okay" for nightlies.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

    Frequently Asked Questions:
    Q)OH MY,.. CRASHES!?
A)This is a very early build of CyanogenMod running nougat and things are still WIP.
You may experience number of crashers here and there. These will be get fixed with time.

    Q) Is VoLTE supported?
    A) No, we don't have it working with new M modem from Xiaomi.

    Q) Is Goodix FP supported?
    A) No. I have a FPC device and is hard for me get it work without the device with Goodix FP. Maybe, M kernel release (updated goodix fp driver) for kenzo in future might fix it.

    Q) Where are Developer options?
    A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.

    Q) How can I enable root access?
    A) Go to Settings > Developer options > Root access, and enable it for apps, adb or both.

    Q) I don't like superuser icon in statusbar, can I install SuperSU?
    A) Yes.

    Q) How do I update GApps? (Also useful if you have GApps related problems).
    A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + GApps. (Yes, without rebooting). Reboot.

    Q) Facing Settings -> Security force close?
B]A)[/B] Flash the supported firmware linked in Post #2.

Also I recommend people to use firmware from latest MIUI.
Issues like fp, cellular network related stuffs (not talking of VOLTE here) are because you using some old or "not going inline with cm setup" firmware.
I'll upload fw zip which will contain fw from MIUI 6.11.24 zip as soon as I get access to my lappy :v

Note: About VoLTE, I sure got it working with old lp modem way back (https://www.twitter.com/iamparthbhatia/status/789549745660243968)
But that was with old lollipop NON-HLOS which I won't ship/recommend people to use it. Simply because it don't go in line with current M blobs and has issues. Yes, issues.
VoLTE don't work with new MIUI modems not sure why, reason I haven't uploaded by VOLTE commits.

Camera, yes I am aware of it. M blobs do not go well on nougat due to changes in Android code base. Either N blobs or (maybe) some workaround can fix it. I'll look into camera if possible.

Thank you for all your support.
