You should really learn how to flash properly, without toolkits.I rely on skipsoft all in one toolkit for a lot of stuff. helps a lot with flashing
Yes but pixel making it more complicated to start out I was comfortable flashing with previous phones now I'm confused at the moment and worried about brickingYou should really learn how to flash properly, without toolkits.
For a trouble free install, I always choose a clean install, which means in TWRP I wipe everything but internal storage.
Go to setting-notification-press the gear icon, then select show all notificationWhen i get an email my screen is waking up but im not getting the lockscreen notification. I have to wake the phone up then swipe down to see the email info.
Is there a setting i need to change? I have touched anything, just installed gmail.
Edit..Actually i think i just found it under the notifications setting.

If you go to settings > notifications > tap cogI don't know if it's a bug... But to avoid screne burn and use the whole screen I disabled the navigation bar, enabled expanded desktop and installed LMT. So far so good. The bug (or intended) is with this config I don't get notifications in the lockscreen...
Maybe because I cannot exclude expanded desktop in the lockscreen? (I already excluded the launcher and it still happens)
Of course if I unlock the phone all my notifications are there!
Would this be or can this be made compatible with the rom https://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=3538683
Sent from my Pixel using XDA-Developers Legacy app
No, as of now it's only lineageOS (cm) based ROMs as they use the Qualcomm Bluetooth stack. They are trying to get it to work on AOSP but hasn't succeeded yet.
IMHO I'm not sure this would even be an advantage.. it just compresses the audio even further. If you want high quality audio just use wired headphones. A true audiophile IMO would use usb audio out to an external DAC then to wired headphones. The less software processing the better..
ok so im about to make the jump to pure nexus and my first custom rom flash on the pixel so its still a bit confusing, im currently on NMF26U on ee in the UK, do i need to flash the NMF26U vendor image after ive flashed PN?
thanks in advance
1. Make sure you are on the latest bootloader, radio, vendor image.
2. Install twrp via the instructions in twrp forum.
3. Wipe data factory reset.
4. Flash rom.
5. Flash twrp zip again as the rom overwrites twrp.
6. Boot into the os, then reboot into recovery and flash system vendor image NMF26U, then supersu, the newest one.
7. Enjoy your custom Pixel.
You want to flash the "v" vendor image as what this ROM is based oncan i back up my current vendor image using TWRP and restore it or do i need to flash it fresh?
