Its all about the quick tiles you can scroll it like samsung roms, but be sure you enabled it under settings-configurations-quick settings-tile layout

Scroll small qs tiles

Not really, I have no problem with the possibility to scroll the quick tiles. I just can't understand why the scoll thing isn't possible with the old 6 icon layout.

Lol

After several tries of release 14.1. I found that busybox was not installed because for some reason there was no free space in the system partition (some weird backup bug), i changed to f2fs then back to ext4, dirty flashed and had 49mb free space to install busybox. now substratum is working ;)
I don't know why this has happened since release 12 as i always use mini gapps but it seems that i may need to start using a smaller package unless there is a way to increase the size of the system partition. Any thoughts @Buff99

yeah, don't use mini!

do you flash any other mods? When you did your clean flashes did you wipe or format system?
I flash Nano and Arise swansong and have 108mb free so it is getting tight...

I compared mini to nano and mini seems like complete overkill, install nano and add only what you need from the playstore. If you really need, Titanium can install apps into system.

you could use an app like titanium backup to remove un-needed apps from system before you install gapps - calculator etc. - probably won't find that much to delete though...

I have never re-sized partitions, I would research that one carefully.

@Buff99 Sorry to bother you but did you find anything in the Logcat I send you regarding my System-UI crashing at a low battery percentage?

Not a great deal of facts i'm afraid Apollos;
What RR versions has this problem been observed with?
Doesn't happen with other roms?
Happens even after a clean install?
What gapps do you install?

There may be house-keeping tasks that run triggered by battery %.
Do you have free space on all the mounted volumes (esp system?)

One thing I did notice was a number of permission denials for an app called mangarock on systemUI.
Can you un-install this and see if it makes a difference?

Hi @Buff99 awesome work as always.
Just wondering, is there anyway to change the filename naming convention of the pictures taken by the camera? At the moment, the pictures taken will have an IMG at the start followed by the date. Anyway to modify to have just the date?

Lol, how?
The system partition is 2.7 GB big (on my device at least). After ROM and Gapps (Pico) I still have 1.7 GB free in system. How can you guys only have 108 free?
I mean, I seriously doubt Nano or Mini Gapps can occupy almost 2 GB.

found a solution?. have the same problem :/

I had this problem and blowing compressed air on the earpiece solved it. It seems like a dust covered the proximity sensor from the inside and was registering "0" cm on the proximity test even without covering the sensor. It should register 8 cm if not covered and "0" when covered.

It was Two Versions prior the current one
i've tried two other Roms (Octo-os and Crdroid) both of them worked
Yes, even after a clean install it still happens
I install arm 7.1 Opengapps on my Phone

I have enough space on all my mounted systems (I dont know what ESP is)
I've uninstalled it, still no change it crashes
(the Problem by Mangarock may be caused because I restored it from titanium backup and for some reason it disabled all Permissions)

Also I've just clean flashed the Rom again and copied the log on my PC. Seems like thera are a lot of Errors, just in case I send it to as a PM.

Still, thanks for taking your Time and helping me :)

Understood.
Did you have any profiles setup?

Tried second version of 5.8.2 today (disabling sim pin first).
Same issue: after a few seconds of use the phone goes continuosly in lock screen and comes back. Unusable.
Furthermore, settings app crashes on any submenu.
So I definitely reverted to 5.8.1 and wait until next release, hoping that a dirty flash will be enough !

    Installation

    Required for installation:
Recovery - Latest version of TWRP - TWRP 3.1.1-0
Firmware - Lollipop supporting bootloader and modem / non-hlos. Look in _Bon_Bon's great MODEMS and BOOTLOADERS collection
Gapps - a latest version of Open Gapps 7.1. Either Pico / Nano or see Addons post #7 below about how to use a Config-Gapps file to customise a Super Gapps install
    1st install - " clean install "
    • Make a full nandroid backup <always backup!>.
    • Properly remove previous root solution i.e. flash Magisk uninstaller and / or UnSU.
    • Fully wipe device.
    • Install Rom.
    • Install desired root solution if using Rootless.
    • Install Gapps.
    • Wipe Cache and Art / Dalvik.
    • Reboot.
    • Wait for 1st boot.
    • Enjoy.

    2nd and subsequent installs - " dirty flash "

If you do not follow these instructions you will get install / boot problems.
    • Uninstall all Substratum overlays.
    • Make a full nandroid backup <always backup!>.
    • Properly remove previous root solution i.e. flash Magisk uninstaller and / or UnSU.
    • Wipe System, Cache and Art / Dalvik <wiping System is ESSENTIAL for Magisk>.
    • Install Rom.
    • Install desired root solution if using Rootless.
    • Install latest Gapps (Updating with latest Gapps for every dirty flash is A Good Thing).
    • Wipe Cache and Art / Dalvik.
    • Reboot.
    • Wait for App optimization.
    • Enjoy.

Swapping between Magisk and Rootless builds
Changing build types is as simple as following the full dirty install procedure, changing the root solution in the appropriate place.

While dirty flashing may be possible for some updates, be prepared that progress sometimes means you will need to clean install updates!
    Nandroid backups are your friend!

    Reporting bugs

Proper reporting of issues will help me spend time productively fixing bugs rather than tail chasing vague issues.
    Please follow these guidelines.

    Reporting bugs
If you wish to report an issue, then the onus is on you to prove the issue.
    • If you provide exact replication instructions, an idea of how often the issue occurs and logs that enable me to replicate the issue then a fix will be possible ("if you do action 1 then action 2 then action 3 you will find that bug X occurs 100% of the time").
    • If you give a vague complaint about an issue then I will not look at it without explicit replication instructions and preferably logs ("phone overheats when using CallOfDirty") .
    • Issues about overheating, battery life or performance should be backed up with information from relevant monitoring apps.
    • One-off issues generally do not get investigated unless they are well documented and have provided logs.
    • Issues that are specific to one piece of software will generally not get investigated without logs. I am not very keen on installing software to investigate bugs, especially if I need to create user accounts. If you can replicate the issue on more than one piece of software it will increase the chance of being fixed.
    • Issues to do with speaker or microphone related issues need to be explicit about which speaker and mic is in use (internal, head phones, earphones, bluetooth headset, Bluetooth speakers), whether normal earpiece or hands free mode is in use, Audio mods that have been installed. Logs may be helpful too.
    • Issues with media / streaming / playback should be provided with examples.
    • A picture is worth a thousand words; a movie is thousands of pictures. If you cannot describe your problem in words, post pictures or movies to help show your issue. The rom has in-built screen capture and screen recording tools, so please use them.
    • It can often be difficult to tell what is going on with logs from a fully loaded system. It can help a lot if you make a nandroid of your current system, format and then make a clean install, with gapps only if needed, and only the app that causes the issue - as minimal a system for replication as possible - then replicate the bug and capture logs. If I then have to replicate the issue I can easily replicate your system.

If you want to send a full set of logs for a bug, I recommend using Syslog.
    • Perform some of the functionality that is bugged and then capture logs in the app.
    • If you have had a reboot then capture a set of logs immediately when the system reboots. If the last-kmsg file is empty then the logs are useless.
    • Type a brief description of the problem in the notes field and your XDA username .
    • Select to scrub personal information.
    • Upload it to a web based host (gdrive, dropbox, etc.) and PM the link to me.
    And remember:
The Drill .... settings > configurations > about > the drill > logcat or GTFO
