Hi sorry for the late reply. The official stock firmware when I bought my phone from Three UK was MHA-L09C432B126. I have since had a carrier update and updated to MHA-L09C432B138. Hope this helps your question from earlier

Thank you for the reply.

I'm going to try out MHA-L09C185B156 and before rooting etc. test the camera then.

Rebrand ur phone to c185 and flash the latest update?

Hmm...

As I understand it, there are 3 variants of the MHA-L09:

MHA-L09C185
MHA-L09C33
MHA-L09C432

MHA-L09 is a single sim variant. The C185 is yours - what region are you? As far as I understand it, the C33 is the French carrier variant.

That leaves the C432 - European version which I thought is best for me given purchased in the UK.

Though just noticed now that MHA-L09C185B156 has recently been released, which can be flashed on any MHA-L09 variant, so may just try this?!

I'm just wondering, if I even did flash an incorrect firmware, would this even cause 1 specific mode (night shot) on the camera?! It's annoying me, and it's the only thing wrong....but still....one aspect is wrong and I must right it!

Mine is l09 c605 b111

Hi everybody,
I'm little confused... I've a new Mate 9 L09 (single sim), the newest firmware is still MHA-L09C432B126 ? otherwise, please, number and link!
thanks and pay attention: Huawei has dicovered in these days one failure referring the rooted Mate 9 with the possibility to be under attack by malicious app, so there will be a new patch or firmware asap... ciao!

if we wanted to go back to stock, do we flash update.zip, update_data_public and update_full_hw in twrp?
does this also get rid of twrp?

in the pixel, when you extract the stock image, there is a .bat file that flashes all the required files to go back to complete stock, im assuming its not the same here.

Yes B158 is the latest, install firmware finder from playstore, you can find huawei firmwares there.
US variant is L29C567,if you want you can download US firmware and flash the baseband cause i didn't see someone tried it before for mate 9.
You need unlocked bootloader and fastboot, with huawei exctractor to exctract the firmware.

Sal. :)

Hello, I have a mate 9 Screenshot_20170326-134008.png but following a guide to use firmware finder a flashed a test rom maybe because I don't have the update menu and so I can't use firmware finder again. After that, I downloaded from the op the update file, pasted inside dload folder but when I try to flash the fw, my smartphone does not find it and I can't install... What can I do?

Thanks, FiccioMc

Use the Firmware finder via proxy and a minimum of B138 will be installed over Proxy. Instructions can be found here in another section.

For C636 it's easy, just use dload B110 from the rebranding thread and use firmware finder proxy to update to the firmware version you want,B138 i guess but choose full firmware.

    Hello everybody and merry christmas!
In a previous life, I was a Samsung user, and I was able to differenciate firmwares base on the internal codification of Samsung.

Is there something similar with Huawei?

MHA seems common, then it seems that regional versions are identified by the L09 and the L29. The end (B126) seems to be the version, but what about the middle?

What kind of differences are there between MHA-L29C636B136 and MHA-L29C10B136?

    C10 - Russia
    C185 - Middle East & North Africa
    C432 - Europe
    C636 - South East Asia
    C900 - USA(?)

Only the update.zip will not be good enough. You should link to the update_public and the update_all_cn as well. Some firmware versions on Huawei's servers are incomplete, and don't contain the public or region files.

i have build number MHA-L29C185B126 on my mate 9. Are your updates newer?
This is the latest update for ur region.

I have read every thread regarding on how to go back to stock and got all the files needed (I think) to do the job.
If I use the update method using the UPDATE.APP, is that all I have to do or do I need to flash the Public & the hw zips first and then do the UPDATE.APP?
Sorry my brain hurts reading all these threats that get derailed into the twilight zone.

    To return stock you need:
    - Stock recovery !
    - Firmware Finder

Be sure that you have stock recovery, then point to ROM (FullOTA of course) in FF and install it via proxy and system update.
