Hi,

I saw that for some people, like me, auto data activation/desactivation doesn't work on opt 14.
On opt 13, when receiving/sending an MMS, it was working perfectly.

Anyone has a clue on that?
@side, did you activate this option yet? I know that for security reasons, you didn't activate it at first on opt 13.

Thanks all, amazing work that keep our S4 up to date...

lets say it one more time....

Dirty installations ARE ALLOWED AND ARE POSSIBLE.
i just personally advice to do clean install (or at least wipe /system and /data) .thats all....nothing more nothing less

Before report that something is not working,read previous posts and check if u r the ONLY ONE who has it.if so,somethings wrong with ur device mate :p

@side Nevermind mate. We all get tired sometimes. That's human. When did you last go out and set your mind free from building Rom's? Take a beer, watch a movie, do some graffiti, go to the McDonald's or whatever and forget keeping us satisfied or finding solutions. We know you there.

hahaha sup bro.to be honest my mind is always full cuz i got a serious job and i am currently there working for more than 10 hours per day...although i never forget our s4...even i had some BIG BUGS on my daily s4 (alarm didnt ring and lost my job date) i was really pissed of,i believe stable2 is coming surely in april

graffiti?naaa...no $$ yet for that :p

Just chill... Real-life goes first. I'm glad you're keeping us away from buying a new device. I'm glad that i told my carrier i want a sim only. They say: But why sir? We can offer you a glad new s7 bla bla bla. I'm not into 2 years contract and paying 2 years again for a glad new device anymore.

I can't but agree with @lekiaM. I would like it better to have a happy developer, maintener, genius, etc (and specially, friend) , than a speedy release.

Let us rant for a while on the minor glitches of your great rom, and find solutions, and you, on your end, free your mind a bit. We love you and we want you to be happy with whatever you do.

I (and I safely suppose I write for most of us) also appreciate a lot what you do. And you have me always in awe, for what you have achieved with our devices is way beyond what we expected.

Hello! I have downloaded and installed this ROM. It's amazing! Thanks for your job! I really appreciate it! But there is one question. I have installed an APK "Arrow.io" from Google Play and during the game I have long lags. Lags appeares when my hero get LVL UP. Do you know how to increase CPU or GPU efficiency? Or maybe I come from a wrong side to the problem?

Upon my humble experience, change the stweaks profile to extreme performance or lower to see if there is a change... Any ideas, guys?

How are you using substratum on this ROM? When I try to apply a Substratum theme I have FCs or the themes simply don't apply.

Hi just installed it work great for now. Just something I miss, in version 13 in privacy setting I could block call from private number or from people not in my contact list. I can no longer find this option in version 14.1 does it moved or be removed ?

There is no way to increase CPU/GPU frequency above the normal value with this ROM.
It doesn't matter anyway, because it doesn't make a big difference.

Your only option is to try extreme performance or another ROM.

Oh, you can also use the app Screen Shift to change the resolution of your phone. Believe me, it makes a big difference in games.

The lowest I recommend, without getting black bars, is 480x854.

Are the options from the non-aroma installer the default ones from the aroma? Don't really have time to try both.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue. Every time I have to stop the app, clear cache and data, and reopen it. And luckily (not always) it will work. Useless to say that mic permission had been granted.
Did you find a solution?

    If the LED stops flashing and goes solid with any color then SuperSU did not correctly trigger the reboot.. Then after another 4 seconds it will automatically boot and vibrate and everything is 100% normal.. It only happens that one time on a new Rom install with SuperSU.

    Some notes about the new build....
    • F2FS is known to cause issues when we use SuperSU.I hardly suggest to use ext4 for all partitions
    • On the first boot u may have some browser and music FCs...not constantly though.Select the option to mute the notification until next reboot.
      So ,give all the permissions to those apps and reboot when u setup ur device
      On the next reboot you wont have such issues.
    • The folder link contains 2 ZIP files.1 is the aroma 1 is the NON aroma build for those who got issues with it.
      Non-aroma build contains :
      • Alucard kernel
      • CM File manager
      • No Nexus apps
      • No SuperSU
      • AOSP camera only
    • Optimized LineageOS settings has got options to download all the aroma installer packages.To do that ,simply click on the desired package.
      To make this work,u must have already give the proper permissions to your browser.You can download any package ,even if you installed aroma zip
    • Dont you want to make a fully clean install ? no problem.BUT.keep in mind that dirty install will keep ur old kernel changes even i made changes to kernel.
      So
      1. if u really want to make a dirty install and keep your kernel settings,simply flash the zip over the old one.(optional:delete system and dalvik before that )
      2. if u really want to make a dirty install with the new kernel settings,delete the folder /data/.b--b/ from twrps file manager and then flash the rom as situation 1)
    • The late reboot time is a known issue on s4 with nougat roms.

    GUIDE ---- I had to find lots of articles and looked through many guides because CM14.1 was slightly different to CM14 and android nougat. Because of how we flashed different Gapps it made the installation quite difficult. However after a bit of problem solving and determination I succeeded in getting Google Assistant on this great ROM.

    1 Go to build.prop (I just used BuildProp Editor from the Play store, once in the app I pressed the edit button on the top right)
    2 I changed "ro.product.name=cm_jflte" to "ro.product.name=Pixel XL" (I am not convinced this is neccassary but I did it anyway and it works)
    3 Add "ro.product.model=Pixel XL" at the bottom (the ROM didn't have the ro.product.model bit that most phones seem to have...)
    4 Add ro.opa.eligible_device=true after the above (Add this underneath the 3rd step)
    5 Save the build prop then Reboot phone (Almost there)
    6 Clear Google app data (This is to help ensure the process works)
    7 Launch Google assistant as if you would launch now on tap so go to settings>functions> select home button >long press >select search assistant (OR SET IT TO ANY OTHER BUTTON YOU WANT)
    8 Go to Google app settings and check you have enabled Google assistant
    9Install the application and setup (credit to @masterchop for making this app :D) ChopAssistant https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=choplabalagun.blogspot.com.chopassistant&hl=en
    10 FINISHED! :laugh: (Please read the rest below)

    11 Now if you had to install the google app when you first setup the phone, then you need to move the file "com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1" from data/app to system/priv-app

    Google Assistant for CM14.1, this guide covers most errors and problems you will face for installing it on any device including CM14 and Android 7.x

    Reboot and NOW GOOGLE ASSISTANT should work with "OK Google" working too!

    Good evening people... Long time no see huh? Since I got some pms I will answer here again...

    -Did you forget s4 after you bought oneplus5?

    *Of course not!!!my oneplus is using optcm rom too without alucard of course. That means that rom is being worked on oneplus side and I will adapt the edits to optcm for jf

    -So what's going on? Where is optcm15 damn side?

    *optcm15 is not "optcm" yet... What that means... The optcm15 release build is ready... BUT... since the most lineage source code is still aosp, there is no reason to release it. Jdcteam's -+bb+- released the aosp Oreo. Why should I release the same rom but rebranded to lineage?
    To sum up... I don't believe it worth to release it NOW.

    -but will it ever be released?

    -what about optcm14.1? Any update?

    * I personally want at least one more build before leave it completely. So yes. There will surely be one more build.
