ResurrectionRemix Nougat Android 7.1.2 for Asus Zenfone 2 Z00A/Z008 [DISCONTINUED]

Here you'll find an update over the final version 5.8.5 released by RR team.

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on CM, Slim, Omni, LineageOS and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the newest features, brought directly to your device.

Installation instructions

- Required: MM Bootloader and TWRP 3.1.1+
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps for 7.1.x x86 builds

- Boot to TWRP recovery
- Make a nandroid backup
- Recommended: Full wipe and factory reset (necessary if you come from other ROM and not necessary if you come from RR)
- Flash ROM
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot (it could reboot twice during the process: wait!)

If, for any reason, you got error while flashing the ROM due to Magisk, please, flash Magisk uninstaller and then the ROM again

Asus FM radio (this is a proprietary code that Asus never released to the Community)
Any other LineageOS limitation like video encoder/decoder, Asus Pixelmaster Camera App super-resolution, SIM 2 cannot be disabled. Please, read before posting.

Bootanimations for Z00A

Here you have extra bootanimations for Z00A. You can just flash in TWRP after the ROM if you want other besides the official one.

Yes. It uses the same source code. The difference is only I'm not an official member of RR team. The ROM has no difference at all with the official one.

Hi,

i know it's not the official RR dev team but what will be the difference in this one ?

is it previous to have weekly/monthly updates based on official lineage release with security updates ?
root is lineage su or magisk (latest versions) ? do we have the choice?
does substratum work correctly (except font change) ?

None. It's being compiled because the official dev is not being able to go further.
I'm not sure which are the requirements to become an "official" dev for RR.
I'm trying to do my best.

All the updates that come with LineageOS will be included in the ROM (i.e., also security updates).

Hello again.

TWRP return a zip error for the ROM zip when I try to flash.

I've downloaded it by the link, drive app then download it in local.

I'll try another way...

Edit : ok by downloading directely with chrome browser from g drive

Trying to install magisk : bootloop on TWRP recovery

Edit 2 : my bad: didn't flash boot verifier. It's ok right now : magisk +safety net ok !

@Technical: Awesome work!!! The rom is pretty smooth (dirty install in here).
One question, the old rom used to integrate the Asus App Splendid to better manage the colors. Is there any chance you could do it?
Here's what I tried: I downloaded Splendid from Play Store, turned it into a System App (via Link2SD) but unfortunately it didn't work.
