Thanks to all for the suggestions:good: Please remember, an enhanced tag can only be created if threads are available for a device, this must be more than a single thread. Also, note to all, please use the device search function before requesting, you may well find the device you are after already exists.

The following have been added.

Lenovo S820
UMi Diamond
Motorola Moto C Plus
Lenovo A3500
Maze Alpha
Vernee Apollo X

Thank you very much but, the Enhanced Tags can't be used on the XDA App (at least not for me).

Though, it's a start and hopefully those devices will be implemented for its own, device dedicated, area of the forum.

I know there's a process and the Tags are better than nothing.

Thank you! :)

Yep, that is mentioned in post #2. For now, they only work in a browser, but that is being looked at. As you say, it's not perfect, but certainly better than before. Many devices that may never had a location for a community to thrive, now have an easy to find discussion forum, gotta be a winner:good:

Opening a forum for a handful of threads really isn't helpful to anybody, it's harder to manage from our perspective, and more difficult from a members perspective, as a few threads are easier to navigate when placed in a single column. This is why when the ET's gets to three pages (the older out-of-date threads sink to the bottom, the relevant at the top) we upgrade them to a full forum. We then don't have "ghost" forums, with nothing but a handful of Q&A's.

It's all about balance, hopefully we've found it here. :highfive::good:

@O_G Please add Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus (GT-S7580) to the forum

There have been a few dozen requests for it in this thread, and it has enough threads to be added to the forum

Totally wrong place to post and irrelevant to this thread.
Post it in your device forum. What you ask for likely already exists.

Ahh yes, I recall those. Does this device not share development with the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2? We have Development threads which suggest they might. I'm thinking adding "Galaxy Trend Plus" to the forum title would sort the issue, unless ofc you can suggest a reason why it may require a separate forum.

Cheers:)

There have been 14 requests for the LG Tribute HD. Is there a mod or somebody who could tell me how many requests usually takes to get a device on the forums? Thank you -

I'd like to request a forum for the BQ Aquaris M5: http://www.bq.com/gb/aquaris-m5

The company is based in Spain so the phone might not be known outside Europe, however this looks like a really promising model.
There is already a large number of users in Spain, however where if not here should the English-speaking community be started? :)

Thanks in advance!

Maybe an BQ forum would be a start, there are some post about other devices already here on xda.

Btw Kernel is here, and some CyanogenMods for the BQ E5/M5/X5 exists also.

I think the BQ devices should really get an own section. There are not many vendors which work as cloase with the development community as BQ and they use a nearly aosp vanilla interface and a bootloader which is easy to unlock
For example the BQ aquaris M5 (piccolo) has twrp and cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13 (unofficial at the moment)
I myself also already have compiled a ROM based on it.
I am sure xda would benefit from a BQ section.

P.S.: furthermore BQ gives to their devices codenames of Dragonball Characters/Places (Piccolo, Namek, Vegeta...) :D

Bq Aquaris m5 :D

Bq aquaris m5... Still no section??

BQ Aquaris M5...? Maybe we should give it a shoot

Sent from my Aquaris M5 using XDA Free mobile app

Aquaris E5 LTE (vegetalte)
Aquaris M5 (piccolo)
Aquaris X5 (paella)

All of the devices above have official LineageOS, it is insane that they don't have their own device forum. I don't know what the agenda here against BQ is, because people are asking XDA for ages for forums. I hope people reading this post see that something is ****ed up at XDA, when hundreds of devices with less development have their own forums.

Hopefully soon official LineageOS and already deserving their own forum:
Aquaris X5 Plus (gohan)
Aquaris U Plus (tenshi)

Please add Bq Aquaris M5

@mvikrant97 Sorry, I've to apologise. Creation of device fora is completely out of hands of a moderator. I've no insight into the decisions or processes. As you've mentioned you've contacted our forum administrators and please don't forget they are very busy and one is absent due to real life. I can only request your patience.

    Hello @Oswald Boelcke
I hope you are doing well.

A dedicated forum for Redmagic 9 Pro is required as the phone's bootloader can be unlocked now. Please check out the post below. I did messaged the concerned admins who are in charge to create device specific forums but they have not responded to me yet and if you could do anything to make a device specific forum for the aforementioned device, the community would be thankful to you and the admins.

Here is the first development thread for Redmagic 9 Pro bootloader. This will now hopefully encourage developers to develop custom recovery and other tools.

The Redmagic 9 Pro is a powerful gaming phone with unique features, attracting a growing community of enthusiasts. A dedicated forum would provide a valuable platform for users to:
    • Share experiences and tips specific to the Redmagic 9 Pro.
    • Discuss rooting, ROM development, and customization options.
    • Troubleshoot issues and seek technical support.
    • Collaborate on development projects for the device.
While there may be discussions about the Redmagic scattered across other forums, a dedicated space would significantly improve the user experience.

I believe the Redmagic 9 Pro has a strong enough user base to warrant its own forum.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,
    @mvikrant97

I've to admit that I don't understand the rational of your post. First, my search doesn't show any post regarding the Nubia RedMagic 9 Pro on XDA. Please advise if you have other information, especially if development thread regarding this device have already been posted on XDA.

Second, what do you mean by "We need to separate the NX769J from being discussed inside the RedMagic 8/8s forums (NX729J)"? There's no device specific forum for a RedMagic 8/8s on XDA.

There's a forum for development if a device doesn't have a dedicated thread yet:
Or also one for guides and tutorials:
So, you might want to consider to encourage the developers you know to post their work there.

Our forum administrator addressed his stance just about 6 weeks ago in this thread:
I don't understand it either. I mean, with all due respect, development is in progress for the device (I'm involved in it too; I'll launch a new Los build in the next few days). XDA is a great place for discussion and to show such progress (and also to incentivate it). We have other threads opened recently for devices which don't have any development at all (for instance, the X6 Pro, x6 neo, etc).

In any case, I will add posts in the indicated sections about the development I am undertaking if necessary.

    Thanks and best

Please post all your requests here.

The forum admins choose new device forums carefully, based on several factors. There's no guarantee your device will have a forum created here, but feel free to posts your requests in this thread :)

Please do not send me a PM asking for a forum to be added.

Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units

There are multiple devices in this category that seem to be served by a couple of monolithic threads that currently try to cover all the topics related to them. The two main categories of device seem to be HuiFei devices serviced by this thread (currently 9118 posts) and the AN-21 U devices by this thread (currently 6484 posts). Both devices ideally would have their own sub-forum as they are quite distinct development wise however a "Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units" forum would be a substantial improvement. Thanks.

    Samsung Galaxy S Duos

Please consider creating a forum specific for the SD 778 based galaxy a52s 5g. I'm sure samsung will sell a lot of these so a dedicated forum would help to avoid confusion with the regular SD 750 based galaxy A52 5g...

Hey there, recently All of the LG Optimus L line phones, have had their Locked bootloaders hacked and now have fully functional ROOT, ClockworkMod and soon to begin cooking ROMS, thats why we need a device forums not 300 pages threads (u basicaly cant find the stuff that was posted 1week ago anymore, its a big mess there) in L7/L5 or L3 threads, ( L3 have official Cyanogen Support and soon others will have it too ) So Please Please create device forums for us... You can create them into one single big group, believe me these devices are quite popular

Device list that missing the forums:

    LG Optimus L3 E400
    LG Optimus L5 E610
    LG Optimus L7 P700/P705

Device list that already have a forum:
LG Optimus L9 (ALREADY HAVE A FORUM)
