I'm loving this phone. Came from LG G6 and was strongly going for the V30 due to the wide angle.
However, I am glad I went ahead and got the Note 8.

I finally got to test out my new telescope with an Orion Smartphone holder and my Note 8.
So much fun!
Waxing Crescent Moon picture #1 - I used Auto Mode with 2X Optical Zoom.
Waxing Crescent Moon picture #2 - I used Auto Mode with No Optical Zoom.

I will be out this weekend taking a lot more photos, but I did test the zoom capabilities yesterday at dusk out, and OMG the quality is impressive.

I will be embedding a variety of photos using Flickr and Google Photos. Happy snapping
My only observations so far are that in auto the Note 8 tends to go for a warmer white balance, and sometimes it has struggled to get focus.
