8.0 gapps are official now. -_-
Check opengapps.org.
Also delete stock cam, reboot, install bacon and give permissions and try to open, if freezes, reboot. Should work after.

i am new to this ..so kindly ignore if i am saying blunders hehe.....i had done a clean flash with gapps ...and found out the rom was fluidic ...tnx i love it. only problem i faced is the fingerprint sensor is not much responsive to wake the device or unlock it(it works fine when used to navigate)..also i dont see an option to add navigation bar like on aex 4.5.......and for battery life ..standby drain is there by 1% every 15 min .....and when on normaal use the drain seems to be ok..but not really great...drain increased when using 4g mobile data 2 or 3% per min......as far this is an awesome ...really like the ui and ram management ..getting around 2.4gb free ram on 4.5 it was around 1.9...so thats great ....loved it......would love to see more of it.Hope u can make this rom to a daily usable one ...hehe tnx guys

To get navbar, get a root file explorer, go to system, build.prop and add this line.
qemu.hw.mainkeys=true

After usage of 2 days, below are my observations

ROM is Smooth as Butter & Nice one in Alpha Stage

My Old ROM - 2.5 ZUI – Missing these – Phone Dialer / contact / Messaging / Camera / U-Health & Safe Center. Believe these can’t ported to other ROMS
Flashed :- 20171010-096-ALPHA.ZIP

Camera - Snapdragon Camera uninstalled (disabled) & installed SnapIT Lenovo Camera. Which too have issue; on opening app, we can see only Blank Screen switching cameras enables image capturing.
Phone calling – I use Dual SIM, Seems I am missing somewhere. I do not see options choose between SIMs to make call.
Super SU – Worked without any issues
Audio Enhancement – installed Viper4Andriod from viper thread. Normal APK install which is Not Working. Then Flashed XtermeMusic without any issues. However, build-in Music App is not working with it. Tried few Music App still Vain. Worked with Pi Music app but only for few mins & Crashed.
Net Guard :- For Network restricting on mobile Data, Working without any issue.
Notification LED: - NO notifications. Only on Charging LED glows
Power Battery: - for monitoring Battery usage – seems it’s working not sure with values mentioned.
Battery usage: - Seems to be normal - One day Life – Phone have been used heavily on both the days. Installing / uninstalling / Flashing / Mobile Data / Share iT etc…
VoLTE :- I am not using it

Install latest build. No heating, no kernel panic.
For camera, uninstall stock cam and install bacon camera from play store. No lags in camera also. Video works just fine. Hdr doesn't work.

I have edited build.prop and added the line at the last using Total Commander. Anything else is required to be done as I still am not being able to get the navbar. Thanks in advance.

You can also do this cause enabling nav bar won't make the physical button stop working, find this file at

What about the last build?

The problem is due to the "ok Google" hotword on every page... So, if it's disabled, mic works just fine

It is Alpha build. That means it will contain bugs. This build for those who want to test it tin their device and to give log of bug present in ROM. It is not recommended for Daily use
