Running on latest build 17-10 everything seems to be fine, expect while in call the screen close but the touch still working and and can start and close things, if there's any way to fix this or i have to wait the next few builds?

EDIT:
I have turn off the Double Tap 2 wake gesture thanks to @ckpv5 and his idea earlier, everything work as it should now, expect not having DTW ☹️

Mine works just fine here on the same build, maybe provide a log would be much better so the developer can help you out

I would like to ask the developer to, if possible, add the option to activate that black and white effect on the lock screen when a notification arrives (I forgot the name haha). Other than that, the ROM is spectacular. Thank you!

@PippoX3, was there recently a major change in the aokp kernel?

i have used the aokp kernel (from oct22) for a long time on RR rom without any issues, and last week i tried using the latest version, but it just eats the battery like crazy, (cpu load is constant over 80/90%) i also compiled the aokp kernel from source but same result..

also another question why is 3.4.0 kernel being used instead of 3.4.1xx like other LOS based roms?

thanks

Sorry. But for the while I preferred to come back to older version, working on a rebase from scratch. Hold on. Thanks.

Been using this since a couple of days (aokp_m8_nougat_nightly_2017-12-02_ota).
Great to see AOKP is still in development for the One M8. Also good to see it has the latest security patches.

    What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.

We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).

With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

    Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you’d ask this.

There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.

For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they’re “baked in” by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.

Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone’s settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.

You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

I'm a bit confused reading the title:
    Kernel LOS-E.X.-T.M8
What does this stand for? At a first glance, it seems to be a "normal" kernel without any tweaking options.

Exactly the opposite: I picked the LOS kernel, added with all ElementalX optimizations and features and some commit from Team-M8.
Here explained the title (hope!). If you can wait some hour for next build (http://build.aokp.co/dibs/) it will have all the latest upgrades and updates.
You can take a look in detail here: https://github.com/AOKP/kernel_htc_msm8974/commits/nougat
    Thanks.

May i ask if you also added the wake up gestures, especially the "swipe up to wake" when the screen is off?
That one is missing in almost all nougat roms...
On next build S2W is enabled, together with other features. I'll do a list in OP.

Can I use the img in any other rom?
I see now that the movement requirement for DT2W is gone! :D
    It's so awesome!
Have some doubt about usability of mine kernel img on other rom... but you can try on other LOS based.
Yep, I hate HTC movement require. Now no more needed, thanks elementalX.

Does substratum work in this rom?

    Completely, and no root require.

    Kernel breaks magisk functionality
AOKP didn't remove SU. We like open source stuff.

Nice ROM, very smooth, thanks. But I miss normal night mode (with scheduler as in cypherOS) instead LiveDisplay and Selinux permissive support in kernel (for ARISE modules using, e.g. AM3D).
Thanks. I'll take a look for your requests.
