i just back to stock 4.1.2 and try the kernel for stock rom.. i use temp cwm and try to install the latest kernel for stock but it says it always aborted? whats the problem.. i rooted it and try the rooted version still same outcome.. but when i look in the settings and check the kernel it was installed.. is it normal?

Unfortunately, no... :crying:
I had a reboot yesterday (maybe more like 2 or 3), and here is the last_kmsg.
I also still have the same problem (GPS crash) as before with Waze (either with previous stable, test, and test2 Kernels).
Anyway, I hope your efforts improving this kernel will be rewarded.

EDit : and now it is rebooting like hell, I don't know why because it was almost stable...

I've reverted to C4 State, this is 100% stable at least.
As for the Waze/GPS FC, i think i've found the reason for this.

Code:

binder: 2243: binder_alloc_buf, [B]no vma[/B]

which means no more virtual memory free ... and it's because vmalloc is too low with 112MB:

Code:

vmalloc : 0xf0800000 - 0xf7800000   ( 112 MB)

I'll increase this to the highest possible

i've uploaded new sdcard_only kernel.
Increased virtual memory from 112MB @ 2160MB !
Please test how it goes with Waze.
Currently it's still a test build as i'm still building the ROM.
(fixing some bugs and improving performance)

After installation of the Kernel I get Waze crashing at start-up. See logcat and dmesg.
I will try to reboot once again.

OK, it was even more worse.
I hope i've fixed it now!
Uploaded right now a new test kernel with same file name.
Seems to work fine now :angel:

It works better. No crash at Waze startup. But still GPS issues when using Waze after some time. See logs.

Check Battery .. remove and insert again.

Then probably your eMMc is broken now. (normal on such old phone)
Now u need to buy a new Phone.
Anyway, if u really love A2N Kernel, then buy another Ace 2 or an S8

Probably not, but some people can do it.

I want to report some black screen issues followed by impossible reboot (with last unamed test kernel).
I reverted to 20171031 kernel.

eMMc, had the same pob with a 2nd hand ace 2 i brought back in the summer for experimenting on. Flashed stock from GB to JB then on reboot nothing. Get a cheap 2nd hand ace2 & use the best housing from the 2 with the good main board.
