For microG users: compilation with signature spoofing is available in the folder in 'With Signature Spoofing'.
Link in OP.
Info about Signature Spoofing:
https://blogs.fsfe.org/larma/2016/microg-signature-spoofing-security/
This is a special compilation. Will not have others. Please, don't insist.

What's not working with package NanoDroid:
- Apps with Play Services dependency.
- Syncronization with google calendar.

HAVE FUN!

Thanks @linusdan

Regards. :good:

It seems that the rootless system has brought some benefits: Device certification without mods!

Flashing this ROM and opengapps nano (latest from April 1st) creates a working envorionment, but

android.process.media is constantly crashing/force closing.

I searched this thread, but this issue does not seem to be wide spread. So what do I do wrong?

This has happened to me a few times (I do not know why). To resolve:
Basic step:
1. Clean the dalvik / cache.
Reboot the device.

If does not work:
1. Do a clean installation and do not install the GApps after the ROM flash;
2. Restart your smartphone;
3. After starting, wait about 10 minutes for the system to be processed;
4. Install GApps (peak or nano);
5. Clean the dalvik / cache;
6. Restart.

Tried both, both not working. Still getting android.process.media fc and MTP Host fc.

So I assume my version of gapps might be incompatible. Would anyone mind to upload the gapps he/she did a clean install with without any issues? No matter how old. (never matters anyway with gapps)

Strange:
Try with this version: https://github.com/opengapps/arm/releases/download/20180301/open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20180301.zip
While to MTP error: I had observed, but did not give importance.
You can try to use the build of the day February 15 in case the error persists. I'm using with no problem on my daily device.

Will do. About MTP Error - it probably can be ignored. But the media scanner keeps the system busy at 100% CPU use - i check via adb shell. Thats not good even on a modern device.
Lets see how last month's gapps work.

Gapps from march work... Until I enter WiFi credentials, and the "please wait - checking for updates" mask comes. Probably at that time, an update is pulled and process.android.media FC-loops again.

Well, I guess I just wait until this is fixed. This is a fun project only anyways.

Very strange. When I have time, I'll fix it.

Future of Slim 8 for i9100
I do not know when will be release (just like the dotOS). Maybe in the near future. At the moment, my personal life is based on studies for the vestibular and hardly leaves time to learn new subjects about the world of custom Roms development (I said this a few months ago).
As I am Brazilian and my motto is never give up on the difficulties, want to know your opinion about the future of Slim 8.
Vote the poll at the beginning of the discussion so I can make a decision :)
Thanks!

    Despite the problems that are described in the OP, the last two versions can be used without any problem on a daily basis. With this, I close the builds for Oreo and start developing Slim9.
    If there are any fixes made by rINanDO in the oreo branch, I will include it in the repository.

    EDIT: I decided to focus on two projects for Android Pie.
    So I shut down the slimroms design for the i9100.

    Slim8 beta + Slim9 build test
    After two months of development, Slim8 arrived in beta!
    I redid the tree and tested it several times to get Here. I hope you enjoy it.
    In this build was implemented the autosleep of the repository of rINanDO and will have a great improvement in the performance of the battery.
    I took advantage and compiled the Slim9 only for testing :)
