I rebranded successfully yesterday but lost IMEI since Chinese regions have a different modem. If you're on a dual sim phone, you can rebrand without loss of IMEI. However, single sim devices are out of luck.

Yeah that's true. However even if i'm on a dual sim device, i want to wait for the official release. I think it can help me to avoid a lot of troubles xD

I don't think using a phone without a cellular connection is going to do me any well. I'm waiting for now, patiently.

In this beta version of EMUI 8 for Honor 8, no "Face Recognition Unlock" in settings.

EDIT: I have no issue at all (2 days since update, with RedLotus method).

Did you install it from the European honor 8 (l-09)? does the telephone network work?

Stock applications are mainly chinese... no stock Google apps in honor/huawei chinese roms.

My phone was imported from China, it's an AL00 but was rebranded as a L09 when it came. Rebranded China model can't use recents firmwares ( > B380 ) so I rebranded back to (original) AL00.
AL00 and AL10 chinese models are unlocked for international network carrier, so yes it works.

EDIT: Antutu Benchmark v7.0.7 / 3D Bench 7.0.4 (4 tests):

Test 1 - Phone plugged in USB computer = 117 733 (Bug? It was the first test and it's the lowest score! ^^)
Test 2 - Phone plugged in USB phone charger = 135 108 (Screen capture attached below)
Test 3 - Phone plugged again in USB computer = 135 880 (High score here!)
Test 4 - Phone unplugged = 130 467 (Very Good!)

EDIT 2: 3DMark Benchmark 2.0.4574 (Sling Shot Extreme) scores screen capture below! ( "Your score is better than 100% of scores for the Huawei Honor 8" for the two tests! )

Omg how is it that we get so excited for numbers lol my wife has a honor 8 and I'm eagerly waiting for her phone to update, she couldn't care less...

For myself I have an Xperia XZ1 and it's a little bit boring waiting for Android 9, lol

Do you find any problem with the wifi connections? Is the battery drain better or worse than previous case? I am asking because there is a bug for Google Play Services we think: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/79665217
