@eng.stk any chance we soon see blu_spark for Oreo ROMs pretty please? Just tested latest @P4Block LOS 15.1 build with Unlegacy custom kernel and its pretty stable, only missing proper Bluetooth solution, but its not blu. I need your blu_sorcery with latest f2fs with that ROM. Cheers mate! :highfive:

I would hardly calling Oreo stuff in N5 stable...
No updates for that in my agenda.

FWIW, both RR and AEX are completely stable. I have used both for a couple of days under heavy load. Both run extremely well.
You are wrong. They are not completely stable. If the features you use are working then good for you but some things don't work. It could be "hidden stuff" (from a user point of view) or features that you don't use such as the implementation of the VPN service that is broken.

lol

Same story here... :good:

Actually it's fun to explore older devices I didn't owned back then, bought a few nexus lately (4,5,7) and it's pretty charming to see big parts of Android history and how they're still being supported after all the years...

We can consider ourselves almost environmental activists for not binning those technical devices but give them further use  :s: haha..

----------------
Edit: could someone point me to the WIFI fix, was just googlin it but there seem to several, just yesterday I was flashing DU which suddenly broke WIFI (thought it was a DU specific bug and didn't know it's rather a common problem at the time), now I am on LineageOS 14.1 without any issues, however a fix to the sudden loss of wifi would be great...

And another thing, is bluspark still compatible with latest lineageOS, I know it says Android 7.1 but the last kernel release is from a while ago, someone here who has experience with this combo? Does it break WIFI too?
@eng.stk sorry for going little OT here, hope you don't mind... :)

Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Labs

Kernel for Pie roms?
Hello! Is there any plans for kernel release which is compatible with Pie roms? We have already nice Pie roms so custom kernel would be great .

I flashed theblu_spark_r152_hammerhead_android_7.x_8d27510 via twrp (successfully) and after rebooting I see that the kernel version has not changed. How can this be?
( I use [ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 for Nexus 5 (hammerhead) From razorloves )

    • Compatible with Kernel Adiutor, Universal Kernel Manager and others

DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP (no mirrors please)

Warning: If you come from other kernel, you should dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_sp★rk zip to avoid problems.
Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.

About bugs and troubleshoots: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. Also, I only actively support stock ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root).
No support will be given to custom ROM including N stuff, so don't clutter the thread with it (specially):
    • No talking about WiFi and N issues.
    • No talking about ROM related and misc N issues.
Save the SOT and battery stats/screenshots for general threads, here we deal with development, not personal tastes and results.
Also no OT about OTAs, apps, ROM bugs and other userspace stuff. There's threads for it, use them.

This kernel installer modifies your filesystem, backup your boot.img with TWRP if you want to go back to full stock (or you can fastboot boot.img or dirty flash your ROM also)

If you want to use F2FS, do the following (backup your data before attempt this, it will erase all your Data)
    • Flash TWRP with f2fs support and flash latest blu_sp★rk zip
    • Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select only Data -> Repair/Format File system -> Change partition type to F2FS
    • Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select only Cache -> Repair/Format File system -> Change partition type to F2FS
    • Reboot and profit

    Code_Blue r923

    All right crew!

Back to the heavyweight jam
I decided to reopen the thread after some thinking and some nice talks I had with several people.
I do this for fun, so behave and don't make me regret it.

This is for Lollipop 5.1 ROMs only.

The zip uses anykernel installer, this means it uses previously installed ROM kernel Ramdisk.
If already have Code_Blue or ROM default kernel installed just flash over.
If you come from other kernel dirty flash you ROM and flash Code_Blue after.

    Changelog: http://goo.gl/tyW8lf

Keep it real, keep it true, keep it #Code_Blue
