as there are often issues with Kirin Processors I think that especially with GSI the SoC is the main part whether it works or not. So I think searching for MODEL and PROCESSOR is not a bad start ... I probably should have searched for other Kirin 960 devices, alright. I try to always mention device and processor, that makes it easier for people with same the processor used in a different device.

Hi man, firstly I should say thanks to you... I want to install this rom but i have some questions...
1.is it supported by Xiaomi redmi note 4(SD625)?
2.my phone doesn't support ARCORE, if i install this rom will it support ARCORE?
3.my phone normally doesn't support camera api2, if i install this rom will it support?
4.all of my phones features will be working? Such as IR Blaster?
and I will ask you again, but before that I should say thanks @phhusson?
I wouldn't trust IR blaster, it's not working on my honor 9, if the device doesn't support camera2, unless the hardware supports it, you won't have full camera2 functionality, and ARcore needs specific device features to work, so it probably won't work

Well, Kirin 960 is just the name of SoC, so it is not the alias only for mediapad.
Mate9 uses kirin 960, also P10, Honor9 and some more.
So the posts related to these devices are quite often in this thread.
I think other members thought that you already knew about Kirin 960 and the related devices enough.
Sorry, but please don't blame him...

The post I told him about, the one previous to his question, has a quote saying EXACTLY "Kirin 960", followed by the models, stating the fact that they are running this very Rom.
To me, posting that question right after that is blatantly ignoring posts. Nuff said.

Why does my device fail to start all Android pies?

Another try on my P20.

v107

Factory reset on stock rom.
Erased system
Fastboot -w
Flashed system

Made it to the android logo but then as always bootloop.

Did factory reset. But then stuck at device unlock screen.

No logs because I can't generate one ...

This P20 stays stubborn with aosp pie....

Hello, my p20pro is the same as yours. I tried several Android 8.0 firmwares that can be successfully swiped in and started, but once I update to Android 9.0, it will restart to the HUAWEI logo and restart after the boot animation is completed. , such a loop, if I directly format the data, install 9.0, it will be stuck in the fastboot interface loop, and can not see the boot animation, I tried the ADB and TWRP installation results, my device is from China, model is CLT-AL00 Excuse me, I can help me, I am sorry my English is not Ok, translation from Google(你好,我的p20pro和你的一样,我试过几个安卓8.0的固件可以成功刷入并启动,但是我一但更新到安卓9.0,它将在开机动画完成后重新启动到HUAWEI标志并重启,如此循环,如果我直接格式数据,安装9.0,它将卡在fastboot界面循环,并且看不到开机启动动画,我试过ADB和TWRP安装结果一样,我的设备来自中国,型号为CLT-AL00,请问谁可以帮助我,对不起我的英文不好,翻译来自谷歌)

Very pleased with this rom, got a pixel like experience. I have only 1 problem to do with font rendering, the fonts look blurry, I need to disable HW overlays, and it turn looks sharp, but it keeps reverting back.... Anyone know how to fix this?

Up and very smoothe on XZ1 Compact.

The brightness slider does not work or possibly is too high which results in a slightly higher drain on the battery.

Battery usage is also unavailable.

@phhusson thanks for the incredible work that you have put in the treble roms. It is because of you that we have so many wonderful full choices for many devices with limited custom rom development.
I recently shifted to Xiaomi Mi8 and on a lot of treble roms when I change the wallpaper, the screen goes black and nothing can be seen. Although you can feel the UI vibrations. After a forced reboot sometimes it boots up to the default wallpaper and other times it just goes to a black screen and I am left with s non functioning rom.
I tried googling it but could find anything relevant.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks once again for an awesome job

Edit: I think it has something to do with black or dark theme getting applied on darker wallpapers

Hi,
which version of stock rom did you use as base?
Did you use the Android 9 version, because with the Android 8.0 my xz1 compact always bootlooped.

WARNING: You'll most probably loose ALL your data, and might break your phone. Please use with extreme caution!

The goal of this ROM is to provide maximum hardware compatibility inside a Generic System Image.
No feature will be added. This will ease forward porting to new Android versions, which is the very goal of Project Treble :)

My hope is that other ROM developers will use this ROM as a basis to construct more advanced ROM.

    How to flash:
    Follow instructions available at https://www.xda-developers.com/flash-generic-system-image-project-treble-device/

    What doesn't work:
    - NFC on some devices
    - Front camera on Razer Phone
    - Stock AOSP camera app on some devices. Please use OpenCamera app
    - many graphic glitches on Moto E5

    What works:
    - Pretty much everything else

    Tested devices:
    - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Exynos
    - OnePlus 6
    - Blackview A20
    - Koolnee Rainbow
    - Cubot X18 Plus
    - Pixel 2 XL (running Android 8.1 vendor)
    - Lenovo Moto E5
    - Allview V3 Viper
    - Razer phone
    - Huawei View 10
    - Huawei Mate 9

This is an experimentation, this means that I'm mostly interested in bugreports.
But, I don't want too many reports, so please:
    - If you use a community Treble, ASK YOUR TREBLE DEV FIRST (then they can come ask me here)
    - I want bugs only about hardware features, not software bugs
    - A bug without a device name doesn't exist
    - A bug without a log doesn't exist

    Downloads are available at https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases/tag/v119

Been using it for more than 24hrs on a Razer Phone. Battery seems slightly better than in stock MR1, cameras do work except for the frontal one. Everything else, excluding the exceptions mentioned in OP, works perfectly, snappy and at full 120hz.

This is some daily driver material
