I come from RR 6.2.0 Oreo 8.1, derp 4.2, firmware MIUI 9.5.17.0, anti 3, TWRP 3.2.3-3, Magisk v18, nano gapps 8.1
My steps to flash this ROM :
- backup all my apps via Titanium Backup.
- Wipe data, (no need wipe internal storage)
- flash this RR 7.0 ROM,
- flash nano gapps 9.0 20190118,
- flash magisk v18.0;
- booting and first setup.
- restore all my apps from Titanium Backup and customize a lot.
After 1 day with this ROM, although there are various bugs and missing/broken feature; I still feel it is stable enough to use for daily.

Android security patch : 5 January 2019

Missing/broken feature
- Live display and reading mode not working
- Call recording missing
- Screen recorder is missing and not working. There is no quick setting for screen record. Power menu has it, but pressed and nothing happen. Not a big deal, as I still have screen record from Automagic.
- Quick setting missing a lot of things. Running service, header image on top and various QS tile also missing (I don't remember which ones, but certainly less than RR 6.2.0). Example screen record tile, RR config tile and many other
- Recent menu not complete, it shows the default horizontal style and slim recent. No option to show the free RAM and other button, except using slim recents
- Vibrate on call connected, end; not found anywhere
- Bluetooth icon not show up, even when connected. I have enabled it in System UI, still not show up.
- Whatsapp video call lag, but not dark as reported in other ROM. Have tried to comment out, and restart. Still same lag.

At RR 6.2.0 Oreo 8.1, I don't have this issue. Video call is smooth and clear.
- HeadsUp can't specify which app to block (block headsup when playing game)
- Volume panel only have timeout setting. There usually more option for it.
Not working
- Set LineageOS System Setting*in Automagic is not working, error say not supported in this rom. Seems there is some LOSt signature is missing. The database is still there in the same location.
- Set system setting to change the date and seconds also ignored. Previously, in RR 6.2.0, the changes set will be reflected immediately by the system. I use it for the show demo UI flow (for clean screenshot)
- LED is broken and not blink when notif arrive or charging.
- SElinux disabled. Although it can be enabled by using setenforce 1, I don't have time to do it yet. My TWRP backup schedule is tomorrow. I will try it if I remember it.
Unfixed bug from previous RR 6.2.0
- Incoming new sms. Tap the notif, open the sms, back. The new sms still bolded, not unbolded (have read).
- Pocket detection is not there. Previous RR 6.2.0 also buggy, so maybe not yet fixed.
Previous bugs from RR 6.2.0, which were fixed
- Location turned off every restart, now location stay as it.
- Network mode of sim 1 and 2 reset every airplane mode / restart; now no more reset
- Now dual 4G + 3G is available, both mobile data can be active at same time
- Volte is working, without editing build.prop anymore
- Camera2 API is enabled by default, only need to install GCam.
- Default camera is MI camera with AI detection. Previously it is snapdragon camera.
- GCam arnova 5.1 v8.3b1 and GCam 6.1 mi8 v2a night sight working fine. But still same front cam black and broken frontcam in GCam 6.1
- Safety net passed, both cts and bi. No editing needed (need magisk though)
- Ambient display is working
- USB plugged to PC, setting to default File Transfer now stay (previously will always reset to USB Charging).
- Constant black flickering in Chrome android when using scrcpy, now have gone (need more testing though).
Features those stays
- ROM is encrypted. Previously I moved from MIUI 9.5.17.0, hence stayed encrypted in RR 6.2.0. After moved to RR 7.0, still encrypted
- Privacy guard (Trust) from LOS still there.
- Smartbar still exist, yay. I imported my previous setting and done.
- Show date, clock, seconds, battery bar still working
- Clock still can be set to right position (pie usually put it to left)
- Double tap to sleep and double tap to wake is working fine.
- Fingerprint is working fine. I removed my previous lockscreen and fingerprint before flashing this ROM. And add them back afterward.
- Gesture anywhere is there. But I still don't use it, since I still use GMD gesture.
- Split screen and screen pinning still working fine.
- FM Radio working.
Pie related/new feature
- Private dns working fine, no more restriction
- Digital wellbeing exist
- Now I can use condition biometric authentication in Automagic. Not for security though, but convenient.
- End call now is official API in Pie.
- I can lockscreen and takescreenshot in Control UI script.
- There is Show CPU info with floating overlay
- Volume panel can be adjusted all at once. Enable them in Resurrection Tools > Interface > Audio Panel
Somewhat not bug or improvement
- Signal in both sim are good. Don't know why some have fluctuating signal bar. Previously in RR 6.1, I have logged the signal and show that the signal bar fluctuate even though the asu value doesn't change. This is most likely visual bug.
- what is Setting - Resurrection Tools - Interface - System UI Tuner - Plugin?
- build.prop now seems moved to /vendor/build.prop (7.23 KB). /system/build.prop only 2.30 KB.
- New app called RR Stats, seems to collect stats
- There is hidden Paint app, seems to be the easter egg. But I don't know how to access it, except from Shortcut activities.
After running at first
- Android setup com.google.android.apps.restore running background consume 250 MB. I have to turn off notification access for it.
- Trebuchet too, turn of the notif access permission.
- In this ROM, i let the transition animation enabled, seems much better for ui experience (smoother)
- I still notice some app reload after switching several apps. Maybe because I haven't exclude them from battery optimization. I haven't experience it again after reboot and excluding my favourite apps.
Battery life and charging
- Can't say much about the drain. But from 82% used until 42%, I got about 4 hours of SOT with almost full brightness on 4G/+. This is very similar to previous RR 6.2.0, so I can say the battery life is approximately the same.
- Battery usage data now moved to 3 dot menu - battery usage (bit harder to browse)
- Charging speed seems a bit slower. I only get around 1600 mA when charging it at around 30-40%. But I don't log the data, so can't say for sure.
Something not sure
- Don't know if substratum working
- Don't know about the OTA update feature.
- Not sure about the cast screen, my ezcast is not here, can't test
Sorry for no logcat. I have taken some log actually (I have specific flow in Automagic to do this). But most of the things I report are related to unfinished/missing feature from previous, which is impossible to log (how can I log missing feature? LOL). And sorry too for no screenshot, I focus more on the feature/bug list. You can look at bayad post for the screenshot :

For those who can't stand the bug mentioned above, you better wait a little longer. I decided to use this as my daily ROM, no regret. I can wait for those missing/broken feature to be fixed. I still can use alternate solution from Automagic to cover those.
