When:crying::crying::crying:
But isn't there a world of difference? And I hope that if I do decide to try it, I would still be on the same software channel right?Well... I've flashed it on my XT1642 reteu and everything went fine ?
Sad news everybody! At least for me, the problem with CTS Profile is real The first time i updated from nougat 7.0 to Oreo 8.1 i didn't noticed this problem at all as i still could download Critical ops from playstore but not Instagram and Candy crush friends as it says 'this version is not compatible with this device’ bc the CTS Profile fails. But after some time, i unlocked my bootloader and flashed magisk on Oreo 8.1, and everything was fine, i could download intagram and candy crush friend from playstore. But right now i'm back to locked bootloader and stock 8.1 final stable version wich i flashed via fastboot with the new fastboot version of Oreo, and the problem still exist even after a totally clean flash of the latest version of Oreo. my model is Moto g (4) XT1626 dtv. Can someone who has an g4 plus with locked bootloader and update via offical OTA confirm if this problem exist even in g4 plus version? Thanks in advance.

There's also a fastboot version now available https://xdaforums.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138Anyone has a "flashing phone on PC for dummies" ?
Never done this before and don't want to brick my phone, thanks in advance also for the ones who saved me from the 108 update
I have stock everything, never done any update except of putting files on root directory and forcing updates.
The process is easy and written precisely. Did you read it? What further instructions you're looking for?But this fastboot version requires PC, and that I've never done before, the tutorial seems pretty explained but I still have doubts othe process, do you have any links with further instructions for newbies?
Oh, I created the flashable zip days ago. I was the one who caught the ota file this time [emoji6]. One of the ones I should say.Those instructions appear to be for the TWRP flashable, which as mentioned above and in the edited opening post, is pending:
With regards to the 'and then the zip from post #671 after you have booted to the system once', I'm not sure if using the OTA update on a device with TWRP would work, since stock OTA updates typically require the stock recovery to update the GPT, bootloader and other usually non-modifiable partitions. You may be able to edit the OTA file to ignore the stock recovery check, but again, it might be worth waiting for the updated OPJ28.111-22 TWRP flashable to be released. You could then flash the TWRP flashable and not have to worry about OTA updates, which should also leave your GPT and bootloader unmodified.
