We turned out to be great to be honest. Check the stats, this thread is the most viewed and with most active contributors and comments on Vince. I am glad, it tells a lot about the development and the quality of the rom being featured. I have excellent tester support, I am really proud of them all, all the 20 peeps in our TG group who test the builds for a week before they get posted officially. The changelog tells about how consistently bugs have been dealt with too. And not everybody can love everything, there is always room for people who don't like the stuff and it does nothing but motivates to do more for the people who actually like it.

Kudos to everybody, each and every guy who supported here. Thanks to everybody! I am sure we'll do Q too, when it comes out and it'll be good, not best ofcourse, because it's really a 'relative quality'. But we'll give our best to provide the max of our potentials. ❤️

We had our problems, yes but I've never talked bad about your work. Showed always respect and supported also in the time when we had this bad conversation.

I just said it, because some users had problems with languages specially English. Sometimes they sounds rude but meant something different.

It's a Vince forum and everyone should work together. Specially the users with knowledge to support the devs.

My big problem is, how people do sometimes response.
Yeah, belive me I know that some users are sending a lot of pms or quoting stuff without reading. That is and was always a problem here.

I'm not fronting you, but in this case I had found it little bit strange because he didn't mean anything bad.

Once again no beef nothing, don't want to be off topic. We should all quit this.

Specially from my side big thanks for your hard work!

Brother these are the same issues on other forums also, people don't do a quick search before posting their problems and I think the problem is not the users but XDA design itself. XDA should have a feature in which trending bugs are shown and users could rate them, so that bugs and their solutions are prominently displayed and users coming from stock get to know what all issues to expect.

Lately I have been seeing a trend in which ROM devs are purposefully hiding bugs by mentioning "no known bugs" or the more cheeky "you find them" attitude. This has to stop, as a simple mentioning of the bugs & devs owning up to them will keep the forums clean & tidy.

Pixel experience pie ROM is the best example of this culture, the ROM is very buggy and the devs proudly project the problems on the device and inexperienced users instead of owning them up and cleaning their mess. When I was on PE before I just thought that if you want pie, you need to deal with the stupid bugs and was literally blown away with AEX when I tried it.

From my experience AEX is the ONLY bug free pie roms for the vince, rest are not worth your time and download.

I don't know how Amulya does it but as of now this ROM is the closest to stock functionality than it can be.

Mate, he and I had some bad conversations here. So it's his project and his thread, so that's why I don't want to be off topic.

Making custom roms and supporting them for a long time, means really really hard work.

The main problem on xda is that the most newer devs aren't working from stretch. They take a base or any multi compatible base to cook a rom. All the main issues will be also imported.

So sometimes you have to import stuff but if you just take a look at the Vince section, you will understand me.

Yeah, that's true. Because it's all about views and thanks. Like on YouTube.

I'm working on mods and kernels. I have to test my stuff on the most know customs roms.

He did a great work. Tested almost every rom and his one is almost bug free.

You don't have to like someone but you have to respect his Eirik work.

The most users are hating the xda app and also the whole layout. But they won't spent time and money. That's why, the most devs are switching to Telegramm.

Like I said it before, for me no problem with the dev or any other user outta here.

But I'm here for so a long time...... That's the reason why I'm helping out newer guys.

Let's quit all this here. We can talk via pm :)

@vshIkmr and @real_pac
Id suggest you both guys to do this off-topic discussion via PM or other Chat zones.
Not only is the topic of you guys is OT, it is also quite long enough. My kind request to delete these chats.
I know @real_pac understands this, as well as @vshIkmr

I do sometimes get out of control, will be deleting the OT material ASAP.
@Amulya I have modded things in the past during the froyo and gingerbread days and would love to get back in the game, my expertise lies in the framework, recovery and bootloader, I understand the Unix file structure and the very basics of Android. Any place where I can lend my hand let me know.

Face unlock works fine here. Your rom is encrypted thats why its not working.
Thanks for replay
I just discovered how to make it work we need to slide to unlock the screen and then it works. Its not like the pixel expérience rom it unlock directly when i power on my device dont need to slide for unloking. I hope you understand what I mean.
Regarding the portrait mode I just discovered the solution to work. We must first activated retouching face and then it will work wonderfully.
Thankssss dev for this great work

Go to settings Extensions<Lockscreen<Lockscreen UI and enable the first option.
That will auto unlock with face.

Does anyone else have this weird bug where suddenly there's a really long lag and you can't launch any apps for like 15 seconds? The UI works, I can move through my home screen pages, but nothing happens when I want to launch something (or if I'm in an app, I can interact with it but nothing happens when I tap on links etc.). Sometimes I get a message that the app "keeps crashing" - whichever app I wanted to launch during the lag. I did a clean install and this still happens. Up to date nano gapps, newest firmware, Genom kernel. Other than that the rom works great, but this one thing is slowly driving me insane. Could this be somehow related to encryption? I have no clue as to why this is happening.

    AOSP Extended is an AOSP based rom which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Base Of the ROM & Version?
    ->Rom is based on AOSP.

    -Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
    ->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuffs are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.

    -Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
    ->Yes, full Substratum support!

    -Which Gapps are recommended?
    ->OpenGapps

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
    ->No.

    -What about XPOSED?
    ->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

    -I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
    ->Provide full info about your problem with logcats and the procedure to reproduce it.
    ->How to take Logcats?

    People already on AEX v6.0 should receive an OTA

    Oh obviously, I know how much people love AEX here, I wouldn't let you guys wait that much, so I didn't sleep today and fixed everything, will be back at studying so won't be able to be update again if any other bugs comes up, please keep that bug a secret till next week too in case you see one, though I am pretty sure many things got fixed and a big improvement over previous one. KINDLY CLEAN FLASH to avoid issues.

    In few days, June Security Patch will be out, that's when I'll push v6.6 as I said earlier update didn't come last month because of me being busy with the new 4.9 based trees, which you already might have tried with the LOS builds I did recently in past month.

    The deal is, everything works fine, there shouldn't be any bugs now, 4.9 will make the system more smooth and the battery backup will surely be insane. But the tradeoff is 3rd Party camera, we have seen green artifacts in WhatsApp cam previously and it's still there, no only us, many other devices on Pie are facing the same issue, I'll push the update but you guys will have to compromise on one thing, please use the Snap Camera which will come prebuilt or the GCam I'll post with the download post, because that's what works flawlessly on 4.9
    We have been testing AEX on the 4.9 kernel and my LOS trees, and it's insane tbh. AEX has never been this good for our device in my humble opinion.

    So please, I request you guys to refrain from mentioning green camera bugs, it's a humble request, because it can't be solved as of now, all I can do is implement OSS camera HAL from CAF and nuke the prebuilt camera hidl blobs from MIUI, but it's very difficult as of now. I have been banging my head with the logs but they just don't explain enough for me to act. So give some time idk how much though, please use Snap or GCam to click your photos, it shouldn't be that difficult I guess :/

    I hope it won't be difficult for you guys to adjust on that a little.

    v6.6 will be the biggest update ever. Changelog will be pretty good! Both Device side and ROM side.

    Stay tuned!
