The firmware is set to the minimum brightness value for night mode. Maybe you have night mode on all the time because the side lights are on?

While the GPS has not yet have a fix, open the GPS Test application and watch the satellite signal levels. If the levels of all or almost all satellites are in the yellow zone, then the signal is not strong enough and you need to deal with the antenna.

Is there a way to make a2dp play sounds from the phone all the time even with a musik app/Radio/Spotify Running?Do you know if thats possible or could you include that in a future update or maybe with an app or something?

Can you share the working config? Maybe I can compare it with my broken config to see what the difference is (don't know if it is a readable file). I have a kld mcu myself.

No. MCU config and Android are separate. More likely you applied a different vendor MCU.
No not the case, it worked with the stock rom and broke after the update to the Hal9k rom without touching the MCU. It can be related to displaying of specific options or something. Yesterday evening I downgraded to 2.94 but it didn't fix it. Seems like it (can) happen with the 3.01 version of the MCU and then upgrading to the hal9k rom. I tried to get more detailed logs but unfortunately I wasn't able to get them. So there can be a risk if you update to the hal9k rom with mcu version 3.01 installed. On the other hand, there are just a few cases reported in the topic so the majorty doesn't experience the issue and it the radio is still usable except the factory option app.
Just installed this last night (3.1.2 now), after finally figgureing out what kind of unit I had . It's very nice rom, I love the boot screen, and screensaver. It works awesome. Thanks to Hal9k for this, it is so much better then default (and having magisk is amazing).
My only real issue with it is that Xbox One's Bluetooth isn't supported. Most everyday I am stuck in my jeep for about 30min, waiting. I would love to be able to connect and play on this instead of my phone. Is it at all possible to get it to work? I tried 1controller (the magisk module), to no avail. Anybody have any options (outside of other controllers )?

Connect it via cable.
You hit the nail in the head, I was indeed updating mcu together with the rom. Just because I did it together didn't know what caused it.
Before it was MTCE_WWW_V2.80_2
I updated to MTCE_KDL_3.something
Did not notice any issues beside the brightness.

Not sure about night mode, can you point out where to set this? One of the symptom is when I set the parking light on the screen gets more dimmer than previously.

Not exactly sure what you are asking? All I did was installed the 98(ish?)MB OTA update when it asked me to. I don't know how long this OTA update has been available but I just installed it last night. It installed, went to the boot animation and hung for some time, then rebooted and went to an area (Looked similar to recovery) where I could try again or factory reset. Trying again just does the same things as above, factory reset will get it booted again but in Russian. I then have to reconfigure everything. This has happened to at least 2 OTA's thus far. When it's working, it works great though

I hope that you fix your problem there is.
I finally managed to fix the factory settings error. I read that the HA and KLD mcu where interchangable so I flashed the 3.1 HA mcu, a lot of stuff wasn't working but the settings app did work again! Maybe a new config file is generated when going to a different mcu because the config files are different for the HA and KLD mcu. Afterwards I flashed the 2.94 KLD mcu (the radio was delivered with the 3.01 kld mcu). The factory settings error is now gone and everything still works. But the big tip is, make an export of the mcu settings for flashing this rom, aparently it is linked in someway. Tomorrow I will upload a working config file for the kld in here.

first impressions everything works, no problem with the clock, rom very smooth the only thing i hate the white theme!!!
for the users that needs the usb audio output: i have the dsp helix.2 with the usb hd module, with high speed i have glitches and interrupts but when i choose full speed everything works fine (music, video, youtube, radio streamer, google assistant). attention if you choose UAPP as default player then everything else is just not function.
i hope HAL9K prepares a nice rom based on 9pie. thanks

If you want to know which firmware is the best, see the voting results here.
You can install this firmware on your radio, if in Settings > System > About machine >
- The model starts with px5
- The Android version starts with 8.0.
- The MCU version starts with MTCD or MTCE. Then there can be any letters, two, three, four - it does not matter.
Or, if in Settings > About device >
- The Android version starts with 6.0.
- The Build number starts with px5
- The chip version starts with MTCD or MTCE. Then there can be any letters, two, three, four - it does not matter.
Also, to restore the radio, if something goes wrong, you should be able enter the recovery.
The main advantages and trends of development of this mod:
- New features.
- Correction of existing errors and imperfections of the stock.
- Best responsiveness in comparison of the stock + the ability for the user to improve this indicator.
- The customizability. All critical changes made on my taste, you can customize for yourself or do as it was in the stock.
- All changes made directly in application code without the use of Xposed framework for best perfomance.
- Stability.
- The stock design.
When switching from any other firmware it is necessary to wipe the user data!
If you are upgrading from a previous version, you do not need to wipe. But it is recommended if any problems arise.
If you install without wiping the data on top of the previous version, the first boot may take several minutes. Depends on the number of third-party applications.
But be sure to go to "Mod settings" to apply the default settings.
After installing or updating the firmware, the HU will reboot one more time to complete the installation of Magisk. Do not update Magisk. You will need to reinstall the firmware.
How to install the firmware ?
If you have an old version of the MCU, I highly recommend upgrading to the current version: 2.93 or higher.
MTCE MCU can be installed instead of MTCD. (make sure the letters of the current MCU matches the one you flash!)

The installation is similar to the installation of the Android 8 instead of the Android 6, which is described by first post.
update.zip should be taken from the archive Y Series_PX5_9.0_ota(20190322).zip. The build is made on the basis of this firmware.
Of course, all user data will be deleted.
Returning to Android 8 is performed using the same instructions, but using the Hal9k_Mod_3.x_upgrade_to_Android_8.0.rar archive.

The same update is posted on the OTA-server.
So you can choose the installation option: by air or from a flash drive. I see that some have already received this update via OTA.
You can install it on top of the previous version without a wipe. After the update, you need to go to "Mod settings" to apply the default settings for new options. Just start the app.
