Nice! Fingerprint is working! It needs a bit of optimization tbh, also it does not work on always on display, but the ROM is smooth overall :D Thank you! :good:

Better as on pixel experience?

NEW MI9_china_V9.6.27_vendor_fw_flash

Tested and working on ViperOS, crDROID. Should work on PE too ;)

Install :

1. wipe vendor
2. mount vendor
3. flash zip
4. reboot - done !

Thank you!
What are the benefits?

I have a question for the developer. Why did you build this operating system an give flashing instructions when it simply will not flash under any circumstances and only causes fastboot loops that cause wear an tear on my Mi9 because yoiu have to use miflashpro to force a firmware flash/

seriously dude? You need to realise this OS does not work an softbricks phones?

And you need to get it togeather so that if it works people can enjoy it.

Because its unbootable as it stands.

And that isnt a criticism its a solid fact!

It has caused me about 6 fastbootloops

How works the fingerprint sensor?
easy setup and same response as PE

How's battery life compared to Pixel experience?
up to you to test

Hi, face unlock and voice match don't work, is this related to vendor or can be fixed
known issue - hope we get that working too

Such responses are below any level but I leave that up to you. I put a lot of time into this and really these comments are inappropriate tbh...
This ViperOS boots outstanding. Ask others....
You're doing something wrong maybe ;)

no I do not agree, no one forces you to use the Roma that others give you for non-profit. if you do they are your *****. If you think you do better, get busy.

You must be doing something wrong for sure cos think about it no one else getting any problems but you, and there are better ways to ask people for help, with this attitude you gonna get even more frustrated and might end up bricking your phone, I suggest you calm down and discuss your problem in a friendly way and everyone will help you solve your problem. So what rom have you got on your phone atm? give us the stats without any criticism and let's see if we can get you going, cheers

Complaining when you have a problem without researching if others have had and what they tried to resolve is

Well ............ it is called Whining.

IF you have a problem Identify the problem, post a logcat if you want help in resolving. Remember, most phones today are not built in the same factories and may not have identical components ........just another issue that can cause potential issues as well.

Do not Whine, do not post disrespectfully, that gets you into trouble in XDA.

If this does not work for you then do one of 2 things .........

1. Move on to another custom ROM .... or .......... Make your own ROM for us to critique.

I have a question: why with PE you can simply flash and it will work nicely even if u have data partition encryted while with this one you have to format data or else with wont boot at all?

You can boot this rom without format data. No problem with that. It's just a step I add to rule out any conflicts. But you can easily swipe to factory reset, reboot recovery again, wipe system, dalvik, data, flash viper, flash gapps, reboot twrp (I do it like this but it's up to you to do it your way) flash magisk and boot into system.
As said, my steps are not obligatory. It's just a clean flash.

I did exactly as you said yesterday and it didn't work. It would go back to recovery every time.
But flashing PE boots just fine.

Hi! Thanks for the input. I just flashed and I see that the fingerprint does not work. I've tried others like RR or Mokee and the same mistake. I flashed the FW 9.6.13 and followed directions and nothing.

    Thank you!
That's correct - unfortunately FP is still to be fixed on these builds . PE has a working one though if needed. These are first builds and are under improvement ;)
FP patch should be working in next build.

Thx man, I did it for previous build and I wanted to stay unencrypted.
For those who want decryption on ViperOS, I made a zip that can be flashed before first boot or after ofc. (but remember you'll loose data because you'll have to format)
I changed the fstab.qcom and afaik will work on all vendors like 9.5.30, 9.6.13 and latest 9.6.20 using ViperOS ;)
We tested on stock roms too but till now it wasn't successful. You can use the dm-verity zip on stock rom if you want.

    Mi9_vendor_decryption

    How to use :

    1. format data, factory reset, reboot twrp
    2. wipe system and flash ViperOS
    3. if needed flash latest MI9_xiaomi_eu_V9.6.20_vendor_fw_flash
    4. flash Mi9 vendor decryption
    5. boot rom
    6. done

You'll notice upon boot that phone is decrypted in settings.
To revert back simply format data again and reflash 9.6.20 vendor again and reboot

    ENJOY

thnx @smeroni68 for testing with me :highfive:
