First of all, thanks for keeping this ROM alive! I must be one of the last who didn't upgrade to LOS 9 yet, but I still like my 7.1.2

I get the following error when dirty installing this ROM over the last version of this ROM from arco68

Error -7 : ... can't install over incompatible data ...

Any ideas? Backup data partition, format data partition, install new ROM, restore data partition?

Hi, yes you can with a root app like kingroot or kingoroot but it's not recommended.

Hi, did you make the all wipe before flashing the zip ? (/system, /data....)
Also did you have the last TWRP on your device ? (3.1.1-0)

error 7 means you are trying to install ROM from wrong phone model eg LTE version onto 3G phone model. (Or maybe you have installed wrong TWRP so now it thinks its a different phone, though not sure if this is still possible but was a few years ago) Could Also be you are coming from unofficial LineageOS (need to do a full wipe) or have old recovery (update to recent TWRP)

Hi everyone I think it was the last build of LOS 14.1 because this month Google don't update security patch for android 7.1.2. I deduce that it's the end of Nougat

and indeed, it's been a little over 3 years that Nougat was released.

thanks to both of you for your ideas and comments. It was the latest TWRP, the last ROM from this thread and the correct phone.

I also feel, that the time of 7.1.2 has come, so I've given up. In addition to that, it is my wife's phone so the SLAs are really high.

She doesn't care about security either :laugh:

See you on Android 9 then.

Finally LineageOS still provides security updates although Google's Security Bulletins does not mention this version of android. So the builds will not stop .

Open GAPPs (arm): pico or nano is strongly recommended.

This unofficial build requires a clean flash if you come from the official one.
You can use Migrate app (Migrate - custom ROM migration tool - Google play) for the migration:

Is it possible to change directly in the lo14.1 rom so that when both Mirracast and Bluetooth are connected, the audio will switch to Bluetooth automatically first, as was the case in the stock roms 4.4.2. I know there are applications such as Sound About and Lesser Audio, but Sound About slows down the phone in this combination, Lesser works well, but in the free version you have to change each time after connecting with Mirracast and Bluetooth, i havn't tasted the paid version. So there is some possibility of adding a patch to the rom, or maybe it's impossible on Android 7.1.2?

What is the correct md5sum of this zip file lineage-14.1-20191223-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip , because when I downloaded on January 7 ,this zip has the md5sum = 3f3070da7dfe50b64249f184a4221cdc and when I downloaded today the zip md5sum = 9819d82b4c917cfe946c1f110d661e48 .

Sizes also are different ,
the zip from January 7 with md5sum = 3f3070da7dfe50b64249f184a4221cdc ,size is = 312212223 bytes
and zip from January 26 with md5sum = 9819d82b4c917cfe946c1f110d661e48 ,size is = 312216179 bytes
and both have the same name lineage-14.1-20191223-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip

So what should be the correct md5sum for lineage-14.1-20191223-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx.zip and where does this difference come from?

Note Google dropped support for Android 7.1.2 and didn't release any security updates for Android 7.xx in November/December 2019 and January 2020.

Yes but the builds will take more and more time to be released. I will upload the build of january in few days.

You do not need to have a specific version on the official rom because lineageos will overwrite the old one. Well I think.

And also for my part I don't develop this ROM, I only build every month a new version with latest changes.
