Try to install via adb sideload.

You are funny. Here in Germany Call Recording is not allowed by laws. I don't need call recording till I got Alzheimer:D Alzheimer is cool, every day a new girlfriend called Sarah 1-1000
Indeed, I love disabled call recording since I am free.

You can override the flag by studying and patching one of those files, but beware of the law in your country: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_packages_apps_Dialer/+/263874

thank you, it worked and now I can install ROMs that have previously experienced bootlop.

Hi, I have installed this ROM after clean flash.
First contact was very promising. Very long battery life, etc...
Next updates did nothing but damages:
  • Battery life shortened drastically (100-42[%] 6:42 SOT, first relase; 100-40[%] 2:41 11.21 update)
  • Gboard keyboard freezes, when I want to put some words in web browser or type some message. It works very randomly, I had to come out from the application and open it again and if it still does not work, do it again and again...
  • Last but not least: After last update home button and last application button (I am not sure that is a correct english name of it) completely does not work...

I was very happy when I heard about the "revival" the official mido version. Now I need to say: to me something is going wrong.
This is not a criticism; I am still with you.
I only report my problems as a common user

As you can see, there is a russian coder wanting tissot to get Lineage17: https://review.lineageos.org/q/project:LineageOS%2Fandroid_device_xiaomi_msm8953-common+status:open

Be patient as tissot is similar to mido with smaller screen size and accu :)

after installing and booting, but always booting back to recovery . any solution?

What steps u have done when installing this ROM?

1. Before installing the ROM, make sure you have wiped the system, data, cache, and dalvik cache partitions.

2. Don't use stock variant of Gapps, use only pico.

Usually, booting back to recovery was caused by android security feature called "RescueParty".

If the problem still persist after trying the above two steps, sorry to say that maybe you should also formating the data partition, which also will delete your internal memory. So, make sure that first you already backup it's content.

Can't speak for others, but I got any of these problems.
I dirty flashed from official 15.1 to Andersons unofficial 16.0 to official 16.0 and didn't have a single error. Battery life was best with Andersons build, now I get about 10% less SOT.
Can't say anything about encryption, as I don't use it.
I would have kept Andersons build, if he hadn't dropped it because of best battery life (over 90% deep sleep, never had that with any other ROM). But I'm perfectly happy with this ROM. Notice: I only update once a month, when the new security patches are included.

I always do a clean flash every time I want to install a new ROM. and always delete the system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.

For OpenGapps I always use nano.

I installed Havoc-Os with the same way when installing LineageOs, and Havoc Os was running normally but LineageOs always returned to recovery. I don't know why this happened, I also deleted it (data format) and installing again but it still had no effect.

Just for information, encryption feature is fine. I always use it and never experience error.

Ya it's strange.

Have you already try last build?.

Maybe you should also wipe the vendor partition too.

First, wipe system, cache, vendor, internal storage, data, and dalvik.
Second, format data. After formating the data, go to TWRP's reboot menu, and click "reboot to recovery". Swipe " yes" when prompted.
Third, after returning to TWRP, flash the ROM, then flash Gapps. But DON'T flash magisk first, let it reboot to system using it's original boot img. You can flash Magisk latter after successfully boot to system.

According to https://download.lineageos.org/mido/changes/ there were a lot of commits in the 20191119 version, though I'm not sure I can trust it: I checked that page yesterday when I saw your message and it reported those same commits for 20191111  (the version I have installed with none of your problems)

Yes, but as I said in my previous message, I'm not sure the changes page is to be trusted: when I checked yesterday it reported those same changes for 20191111.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

i am more bothered about the "Los 16 won't be getting official support for mido" quote there. that would be a huge disappointment. heck, mido is a huge disappointment already for quite some time. i bought the phone with the specific intention to keep for at least five years while still running on the latest android. xiaomi hasn't provided an OS upgrade to the device and even cut it from the MIUI updates. now this. my first android phone in 2011 started on android 2.3 and i replaced it after 3 years when it was running 4.4 and actually i still have it in my drawer with android 6.0 on it. i bought my second phone in 2014 with android 4.3, it was officially updated to 4.4, then later 5.1 and I have sold it with 7.1 installed. so that was the very least i was expecting from xiaomi...

A phone, released with Android 6.0, going through 7.0, 7.1, 8.0, 8.1, 9.0 and having booted Q GSI is more than enough for a cheap old entry level mid-range device. As technology shifts, more users are going to shift to different devices and the developer's personal life taking priority over what we do. Remember, this is a hobby, we are doing this mostly to learn and experiment than to provide you with ROMs and updates. We aren't paid to do this, or paid to get you updates, or paid for anything and I am sure no one would ever ask for money. What I would suggest next time is to get a phone that is being maintained by the LineageOS maintainers and a huge community that is scattered around the world, like OnePlus and Pixels are unlike Xiaomi that is centered mostly in India and China. Currently I am waiting on the OnePlus 7 since I saved a lot of money and I'll be using this mido for Android app development only since that's my priority and job right now. Life goes on ;)
