I'm still having TB issues with an older version and the latest update but I'm starting to think it's just me now, sorry flipz :eek:

And kinda on the subject of the post above - have you looked through services.jar yet? I opened it up when the leak first came out to see if I could recreate some of the tweaks for the 2.2 ROMs (no location icon, remove AM/PM, etc) but there seem to be some files missing. I've been planning to dig deeper into it but haven't had a chance yet.

Please Read:

•Fresh Roms have always contained a number of mods/hacks done by myself, the community, and MOST of all by jschisurf. While he has done endless work for Fresh (and everyone else) the most notable mod of his that will be missing are the notification widgets. This was a HUGE undertaking by him to get them working in the first place and involves some major work done to the framework. He has rightfully chosen to wait until we have an official Gingerbread release from HTC/Sprint to begin working on bringing that mod over. Please understand and respect that he doesn’t want to put 100 hours of work in to something that will need to be redone as soon as another leak shows up. If you enjoy that mod (or anything else he’s done) then I’d really recommend donating to jschisurf. I don’t think most people realize how much work goes in to what he does.

Weird, I dont have a notification bar all togheter. Upgrade from fresh 3.0.5 to fresh 4 beta 3.
Rebooted to see if it would clear but then got stuck on white screen. Reflashed beta made it boot fresh but still missing notification bar.

I wish there was a REAL fix for the broughtness bug. I dont want to lose my camera, but at the same time Getting blinded by the screen in a dark room/area, sucks really really bad

EDIT, so i flashed a diff kernel, and yes the camera has a white screen BUT it will still take pictures, you just cant see what you are shooting (or the screen after) but when you pull up the picture it did take it, Plus I'm over/under clocked again and running more havs and sbc so I'm half way happy againg for bat life. still hope for a fix to the brightness issue

TB Not restoring some apps

Hello everyone. My TB runs fine but some of the apps do not restore not even trying app only now I downloaded them from the market and no problem... Actually TB says it that the restore failed if I choose app + data and if I choose app only it says it is complete but the app still appears as not restored in TB and I don't see it in my applications... Any ideas?

Flipz, thank you VERY much for all of your hard work and dedication. Yours is the first rom I have installed since getting my EVO for Christmas and everything works as it should. I'm not having any of the problems others here seem to be having. I rooted in January. Ran rooted stock until your first beta email last week. I backed up, restored. Backed up again then installed this release on top. I am a very happy woman today, there's no more junk clogging up my phone and my battery life is great. So thank you :)

I do have one question tho, if you don't mind (its a question, not a problem - honest) the voicemail thing... I remember this being a problem on my Hero (where the notify message never goes away). Is that still supposed to be here or did I forget to do something?

I have the same issue, a message constantly telling me I have a new voicemail waiting. No new voicemails. Is there a way to clear this up?

Is this compatible with the HDMIwin kernel? If I flash the HDMIwin kernel will that fix the brightness issue?

Titanium Backup cannot restore

Hello,

I installed Fresh Evo 4.0 B3 without any problems, everything was working perfect until I tried to restore my apps. I installed Titanium Backup from Market then I tried to restore my apps one by one and I realized Titanium could not restore nothing. I tried restoring app only or app+data, I reinstalled titanium, same. I reinstalled Fresh Evo, same. I will return to CM7 because I cannot loose all my apps.
Can anyone help?

I know this was a persistent problem with roms for the Hero, it was just something we had to live with and it wasn't that big a deal. If I had a missed call, there was probably a voicemail, no missed call meant I can ignore it. It was a small price to pay for such big improvements.

Since this is my first time flashing anything on my Evo I was just wondering if this was still a problem. It's still not a big deal, I just want to make sure I didn't do something incorrectly.

People with titanium problems have you tried using the update before this one restore apps, then flash the latest no wipe

    • Updated Fresh Updater (v1.4.0) to rename themes to mods.
      • Added some helpful text prompts to hopefully alleviate questions from when people don't read the FAQ. :)

    • Downgraded busybox to 1.18.2 to resolve some scripting issues

    • Why am I getting FC’s on gmail/market/voice search/whatever?
      • FC’s can be a common issue when /system/app contains an app that you already have on /data/app. So if you get a FC on gmail, the market, or something similar, then it can generally be fixed 99.99% of the time by either wiping that particular apps data (Settings < Manage Applications < All < YOUR APP < Clear Data), or going in and uninstalling it which will actually force it to use the one /system/app.
      • Or, of course, can be fixed 100% of the time by doing a full data wipe before installing! I have verified this rom as 100% FC free (at boot at least) so if you have issues, it’s your particular setup.
    • Why do I get invalid signature when flashing?
      • This zip is signed the same as I’ve signed every other rom for the last 2.5 years but was getting invalid signature from TWRC 1.1.1. So make sure signature checking is disabled. You can compare the md5 below to make sure your download is good though.
    • Is this Ice Cream Sandwich? It says it’s version 4.x?
      • No. This is version 4.x of Fresh Rom. The Android version is always in my change log and unless it’s tagged as a dev rom, will always be the newest official OTA, or possibly a beta tag for a leaked OTA.

    • I always listen to the community as a whole and if enough people want something then I will generally add it to my rom. So feel free to ask. However if it's something that only a few people want then I request that you do it yourself and submit a mod/theme/patch for the others to use! :)
