i too had bluescreen. then i changed baseband to xwkt8 - italy. after bluescreen - dl mode - bluescreen - dl mode for several times, finally i entered cwm6.
it works more than 5 times.
i think you should try these steps.

Confirmed dzeig's trick. I haven't changed baseband.
Just boot in recovery - download -rec - dl - .... and after fourth boot there is cwm6.
As many times as you want. Sort of stupid thing.

Btw, I've ordered cwm6 to do a backup and it gives me this error message: "E:unknown volume for path [/sdcard/clockworkmod/.default_backup_format]"

Btw, I've forgotten why I wanted cwm6. Perhaps cm11.

I find it so weird so many get the blue screen. I get it but only for a second then it boots into recovery. I even flashed back to stock to try and replicate the problem. Once again it booted fine after restoring a backup of cm7 and flashing 6.0.4.6.recovery.

So uh... has anyone figured out how to install an older CWM yet without having to use ODIN? because I can't get my phone recognized via usb in download mode anymore.

1. extract the image file from cwm5.x.x.zip, rename it "cwm5.img" or somthing else and put it in your sd card.
2. boot in normal mode, plug usb and start an adb root session:
adb root
adb shell
3. when in adb session flash the image you prepared in step 1:
flash_image recoveryonly /storage/sdcard0/cwm5.img

Thanks.

Edit:
adb root - daemon not running, starting it now on port 538
daemon started successfully *
adb shell - error: device not found - roadblock!
Edit2:
Turned on usb debugging / ADB in dev. options, thought that would fix it, but now adb root gives device not found also.
Edit3: Nevermind, I thought I was meant to be running this from a terminal on the phone, but I ran it from my PC and it worked fine - flashed CWM v5.0.2.6 perfectly.

Thanks again!

By the way, is CWM 5.0.2.6 the most up to date -previous- non-kitkat CWM available for the S5380?

It's ok. From a term in the phone you need only the "flash_image ..." command. Sorry for the confusión.

    ClockWorkMod Recovery

Finally No more the Ace users have to be with the old CWM5 ... Here I present with my evening work of a stable ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.5
To Flash Kitkat Builds you need this recovery to be flashed
    Working List
    • EveryThing(For Some) and BlueScreen for Some

    How to Get it
    Code:
    [LIST="1"]
[*]Download the Zip Package in Post 2
[*]Put it on your SD card
    [*]Boot To ClockWorkMod
[*]Select Install from SD card and select the Recovery Zip Package
*]Then yes and it will get install
[*]Go to Advanced option and Reboot Recovery
    [*]Check your recovery
    [/LIST]

    Code:
This Recovery will only support Ext4, Ext3 or Ext2 formatted Custom ROMs.
No RFS support has been included here.
So dont come with the issues when having any stock ROM or stock based RFS custom ROM installed.
    The Device wont boot up
You need this to flash Android 4.4+ builds
Flashing 2.3-4.3 roms might give problem
