yo champ , i tried to delete the file ar6000 and wifi.ko and replace it with your wifi module tru explorer,and fix the permission after that yes it works fine after replacing 2 of em ,but the problem is when u reboot ur phone , the wifi error came back? i can confirm this, that is working fine as long you dont reboot eh..

yes,It seems M&M's rom have this problem

Here is what I find

First of all, M&M's rom just need one file to fix wifi issue,juse ar6000.ko (wifi.ko is exectly same as ar6000.ko file)

and by replace ar6000.ko with rootexplorer,wifi works perfect before reboot

but, after reboot , wifi goer wrong again,and if replace ar6000.ko again,then WiFi work fine, but after reboot, error get back

so, the problem happen during system reboot.
and I manuly get FC the force reboot the system then WiFi still works fine.

It seems system replace ra6000.ko file(243kb) to original ra6000.ko(263kb) everytime system shut down.

so the problem is where is the original ra6000.ko file come from(we already replace the current one),it may have some backup in system?

is there.a file called /module/ar6000.ko ?

/module folder which you'll find in root and not.the one inside lib

Just fixed it.No Wi-Fi issue any more

Hope Champ doesn't mind that I change the boot screen logo(go back to FXP signature,no personal signature)

Any one use M&M's rom may try this now(I havn't test other rom yet):

do you still need the wifi module for this after flashing?

Edit: hmm nvm , flashing the ftf works ,no need any wifi modules=]

Can confirm it works perfect on FXP 114 , no wifi modules needed

Doomlord's Touch Recovery included

flashable FTF
flashable FTF (this one has 2012 only "SONY" boot image, to be used with my X10S ROM)
wifi modules (same wifi for both above kernels)


Above two kernels are totally same only second kernel has "SONY" boot image

I am so damn comfused:p!If I want to flash roms of champ,donut,dixepria,m&ms or fera which kernel I'm suppose to flash?Now I have doomkernel unlocked bootloader.Doomkernel is the same with yours champs?:)

use my "stock mod" kernel

the kernels in post #1 are mine...I've compiled from source.... not doolord's

the ones in post #3 are modded kernrls, that means...the zimages are taken from doom/fxp kernel

the wi-fi modules for fxp roms on post 1 are working or it's the same file that wasn't flashing all files to system?

sorry to ask this, but it's the only thing not working with this kernel...everything else is working as a charm. hope to see more and more inovation from you champs!

    but, before you proceed I want to make a few things clear.
    This works do not involve much of any MAJOR source code changes. Just overclocking, streamlining, adding/removing governors and schedulers etc etc.

    These kernels are for UNLOCKED bootloaders and are to flashed with flashtool. The wifi modules are to be installed through CWM/Xrecovery.

    1. kCernel-FXPmod (for CM7 and MIUI roms based on FXP's CM7
    compiled from freexperia sources
    compatible with FXP and FXP-based ROMs
    min = 128mhz || max= 1228mhz or 1036mhz or 1305mhz :eek: versions available
    11 different governors (v2 onwards)
    Doomlord's Touch Recovery included (v2 onwards)
    user level VDD control (over/undervolting) (v4 onwards)
    **new**brazillianwax, smoothass, lagfree governors added (v5 onwards)

    I'll start my kernel work from scratch again

    there will be separate kernels for locked and unlocled and also new kernels for cm9

    for now I'm asking colossus to get this thread closed.

    I'll setup my build machine after tomorrow, and we'll have proper thread later when i make my releases.

    also some of my latest kernels have some glitches which need ironing.out., so I'll make a fresh fork of sources and start from beginning :)

    Hi Guys!!

    So here are my collection of Kernels (i have not compiled zImage
    anywhere, only modded the ramdisk)

    kindly note that for fs and full oc version of doomkernel (with
    doomkernel bootsplash) please wait for doom to update v6 kernel on his
    own thread :)

    *1.
    doomkernel-v6-half-oc-bootmanager-fulltouchdoomrecovery
    (with sonyericsson bootsplash) to be used with any stock based rom

    *2.
    doomkernel-v6-half-oc-bootmanager-fulltouchdoomrecovery
    (with new 2012 only"SONY" bootsplash)
    for usage with my X10s ROM!! (or any other stock based rom)

    *3.
    fxp113-with doom's FULL TOUCH RECOVERY :eek:
    (with my own kCernel bootsplash)
    This one is ^TOTALLY^ compatible with fxp113 rom as it is the same
    kernel zimage as fxp113

    *4.
    fxp113-cm7-with xrec+cwm5+touchrecovery+doom's bootmenu
    (press 'back' to go to menu, and go to recovery from there)
    (with my kcernel bootsplash)
    ^TOTALLY^ compatible with fxp113 rom as same zimage from fxp113 used

    5.
    oodie-cm7-v3-fulloc-1.28ghz
    no change to recovery system (i.e same recovery as in original oodie kernel)
    with oodie's original bootsplash
    FXP users who want full oc are requested to try ^this^
    kernel and see if there are anybugs.

    oodie-miui-prime X - fulloc-1.28ghz
    no change to recovery system (i.e same recovery as in original oodie kernel)
    with oodie's original bootsplash


    IMPORTANT:
    wifi modules
    for 1 and 2, take doomkernel v6-1113 wifi modules from doomkernel thread
    for 5 and 5, take doomkernel v6-fulloc wifi modules from doomkernel thread

    for 3 and 4, if you are on latest fxp, then wifi modules not needed
    (already in your rom)

    note : kernels marked * before serial no. are TESTED SUCCESFUL

    credits are all to respective devs whose kernels are used (fxp, doom, thjap) :)
