Another question, and I must admit to my own laziness as I did not go baxck through the thread, but did anybody figure out how to get the SD card working properly. AS I try to move files into it from the pc (drag and drop) I receive an error.

After 6 1/2 hours at work I went from 100% to 24%, that's minimal use...couple games of solitaire, a little facebook, cell standby and a little browsing. So for a heavy user, this might be horrible but for me its decent.

Nero + oclf + dow 1.3 = badassest phone on the planet!!!

I am using the same configuration. Last night I unplugged the phone when it was at 100% battery and when I woke up this morning after about 7 hrs the battery was showing 30%. So this is 10% drain per hour on standby.

Before I installed the DoW kernel, it was draining about 3% per hour on standby.

This ROM is very smooth and fast without the DoW kernel and any lag fix.
With the DoW kernel and lag fix it is blazing fast. Of course it makes sense that it would drain the battery faster.

So the choice is fast with good battery life or extremely fast with more battery drain.

That kind of scares me away from using this ROM,, that's horrible battery life. I am a heavy user.. So I have multiple batteries but i still would want no less than 16 hours of battery life. I get that now with my Macnut r14.

for those of you who are having issues with the battery, it is not
a rom issue. you must recondition your battery everytime you
install a new rom, then reset your battery stats in cw. you guys
should know this by now.. I had this phone on for 2 days now
and I still have 15 % battery left. this rom has been the fastest I've come
across yet...

You have to be signed in to the Team Whiskey forum to reach it.

Go to the forum at http://board.teamwhiskey.com/index.php and sign in.
Then go to the bottom under Development and click on Morfic's Castle.
Currently there are three Topics. The first two have the 1.3 kernel.

Thanks for the tip. But are you sure resetting the battery stats after flashing a new ROM won't mess up the battery life in any manner? Wanna be sure about this before I start doing this.

when you flash a new rom, it alters the current battery reading, in other
words, it doesn't read it correctly. that's why you have to reset battery
stats to have a correct info through the rom.. resetting the stats doesn't
ruin your battery's life. it simply corrects the reading. Thus reconditioning
your battery brings more life to your battery and is healthy to do twice in
a month...

here's how to correctly recondition/reset your battery stats:

1. make sure you drain the battery completely to the point when it shutdowns
by itself.
2. charge it without turning it on for about 4-6 hours.
3. after you've done that, go to cw by the key combinations (leaving the connection plugged in)
4. reinstall packages, go to advance, reset battery stats,
5. reboot
6. wait for it to finish scanning media then unplug.
7. reboot one more time.

p.s. cheers to TW for this lightning fast rom :)

If i may suggest. I used system panel to check out quite a few of the apps. Some of them are pretty decent CPU cycle hogs. I have frozen them with Titanium because i was unable to remove them. But i would suggest that they be removed regardless.

DRM related services

Allshare 1.21

Media Hub

Pandora

Task Manager

Visual Voicemail.

Wifi calling (i force deleted it and it kept giving me force closes [android.kineto] till i force restarted the phone. Then it seems fine. However, i think it deleted something important as well. because accesibility options arent working)

I apologise if i sound unappreciative. Because i am not. I am incredibly thankful for the ROM. However, what i meant by my earlier post was that Battery life would DEFINITELY get a boost if these apps were removed from the ROM.

So my external SD is working but my internal I can read the file structure, but cant copy files off. I was going to make a backup and repartition but I cant back it up now.

When I try to flash SD_Fix.zip it errors

Code:
-- Installing: SDCARD:SD_Fix.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/SD_Fix.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.

I can write the file to it, but it looks like either 1. Both zips posted here dont work (I tried both mirrors with the same result) or 2. I cant read from the internal 16GB even from clockwork.

adb also tells me permission denied when I try to do a push to it.

What thinks you?

Beta 3 is the most stable build yet. Technically, it should be out of beta, but I still have a couple more modifications to throw in. You won't have any problems with this build. PLEASE run this rom as is and report bugs. DO NOT flash this and then flash other kernels or modifications and then post bugs because we'll have no idea if its the rom or the other kernels or mods you've installed causing the problem.

    Nero Beta 3:
    - Updated Market
    - Updated VoiceSearch
    - Fixed blurry mms issue
    - Mounting issue fixed (hopefully)
    - Added multiple lock screens and Power menu options (HUGE thanks to Jocelyn for her contribution!)
    - New shutdown sound
    - New livewallpaper
    - New status icons
    - init script edits for a little extra speed (still tweaking to get it just right)
    - Framework edits

Please check out our forum for tons of extras, and don't forget to visit us in our IRC for any help you may need, we're happy to assist.

    Nero Beta 2:
    - Full JL1 base with our modifications of course
    - Heavily modified to look and feel like the nexus s (gingerbread)
    - Fixed the black text on black submenu issue. its not white text on black as it should be.
    - Modified init scripts for added speed
    - Updated Maps
    - Updated Gmail
    - Updated YouTube
    - Additional Framework edits
    - New Bootanimation

I replaced the background of the stock Nexus LWP to the background of the gingerbread Nexus LWP made by the3dman. It completes the gingerbread look  Clockwork flashable zip included.
