Is V4.2 based on the official indian release from today? If yes, why isn't the wifi working? Do we need to install a fix or something?

You don't need it if you flash MJ5 bootloader.
Sorry for the basic question, but i never did it. the bootloader mj5 must be flashed with odin (tar file).
I never flashed a bootloader before, must i browse the file (in odin) in the bootloader button or the PDA button?

There seems to be some flickers when watching pictures. When clicking on a photo to get the device into video/picture modus or something else, the picture is flickering and becoming blurry for some time. Anyone else having this issue? Tested with Samsung Gallery.

I tried to flash Wanam 4.2 rom but I had several problems.
Here is what I did:
1. made a backup in CWM recovery
2. made new efs backup
3. flashed the MJ5 Bootloader (I wasn't sure whether to use Bootloader or PDA button... I used PDA button... ODIN said that it was installed successfully)
4. then I flashed 4.2 in recovery but I forgot to wipe data and cache (I realized that the moment I pressed the flash option in CWM)
5. I said to myself "never mind, I will flash it again after wipe", but CWM showed some kind of error (I don't remember what) when I tried to flash the rom again
6. so I just restarted the phone and it looked that everything works but wifi (I thought that with MJ5 bootloader it would be okay) and cell signal
7. i found out that my IMEI number is gone...
8. i restored my backup in CWM and after reboot everything is okay.. I didn't even need to restore efs because everything works great and IMEI is back
BTW. I am on Wanam 3.5...
