Informations about VE

The new model runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box (as opposed to Android 4.1), and has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (an upgrade from the 1.0GHz dual-core CPU of the old model). And that’s it, the rest of its features remained unchanged, including a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels, 5MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal memory.

BEFORE START..READ ALL CAREFULLY.IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND DONT DO IT !!!

Samsung SIII mini Ve i8200/N/L/Q is not same with i8190/N/L
DONT TRY ANYTHING FROM I8190






ROOT METHODS

1. Vroot http://vrootdownload.info/

Instructions
1. Download the rooting application. (This app can root many other devices)
2. Install the app. This is a Chinese app so I will guide you.
3. Start VROOT and root now!
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from play store to replace the Chinese root manager called ???? 1.0.4.
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU.
6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for permission by ???? 1.0.4, choose ??(means allow). (Should be the right side option.)
7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
8. Now, freeze ???? 1.0.4 in titanium backup, just in case you need it again.
Note: If you uninstall straight away from app manager, you need to make sure SuperSU updated the binary.
9. Re-run SuperSU to make sure everything is alright. You will be prompt again to install SU binary, just do what it asked.
10. After that, you are rooted with SuperSU and ???? 1.0.4 will not be there anymore​

3. Flash SuperSU
install a custom recovery and flash the zip

TWRP recovery (SAFE)

Link Attention with TWRP-Recovery. Data-Partition restore seems to be not right. At the moment please did not use it, because it can delete your data-partition. We have to investigate it further! Other partitions seems to be ok, but its a good Idea if you copy your important data also manually to a other storage (like PC) while you trying things of this thread.[/COLOR]

Infos for Philz recovery:
Philz-Recovery seems to work fine for the Backup/Restore functions and also some zip-installations (be aware that not every zip is compatible with i8200!) .No workin boot image backup


Warning about the recovery:
Nevertheless, it is absolutely recommended to go to recovery ONLY WITH THE THREE BUTTON METHOD !!! To try it with the software/adb/startmenü "Reboot to recovery" will produce at the moment a bootloop, which can produce a "not easy to solve Softbrick". The three-Button-Method is safe!



Installation Guide for recoveries:
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the recovery file mda file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked

UNBRICK METHOD:


You can find firmwares for i8200/N at http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (Just search your model. Be careful with i8200 and I8200N maybe soft brick if install wrong!!!)

Instructions

Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin

I rooted my GT-I8200L using Kingo Android Root and I still working on a port of CWM. Until now, no sucess... My english is poor, I'm brazilian!

FIRMWARES

Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes

you will find the new firmwares on http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (just search your model.be carefull with i8200 and I8200N maybe soft brick if install wrong!!!)

UnBrick

download a ofixiall firmware and and install it with the Odin

ROM & Recovery Mod

Not yet .maybe in future with someone make it!!! :(

delete Bloatware (delete useless sustem apps)

Not needed/redundant STOCK apps safely deleted with Titanium BackUp:

1. Chat On (Personally I use WhatsApp)
2. Chrome (I prefer Dolphin Browser)
3. E Mail (I keep G Mail instead)
4. Game Hub (Play Store is enough for me)
5. Google + (I use FaceBook only)
6. Help (Read XDA instead!!!)
7. Internet (Dolphin!!!)
8. Messenger (WhatsApp)
9. Play Movies (I don´t see movies in my phone)
10. Play Books (Same)
11. S Suggest (Google Play)
12. S Voice (Keep Voice Search of Google Now)
13. Samsung Apps (Google Play)
14. Talk (WhatsApp again)
15. Video Hub (Same as Play Movies)
16. Video Player (I choose MX Player)

Suggestions are accepted, of course.

Don´t forget 3 little things:
-Do a full BackUp first at all!!!
-Freeze the App before deleting it. And if it all keep working delete safely
-Clean up Dalvik cache

as you all know...CM development is made for free and developers decide if they want to start work on CM on a certain device.. :) we only hope that some developer will buy our I8200 and start work for it :)

That's why they need donation for new custom roms. They need to buy the specific device, so they can work with it :)
So we need to gather a donation and say what we want :)

Well let's hope so, I'm sick and tired of having to put up with the stock ROM. I have more problems with it than a custom ROM for God's sake.

It appears that Galaxy S III Mini G730A have updated android to 4.4.2 Maybe will se it on our phone soon. :)

there all all sources for all devices,not only i8200N... anyway..maybe will have an official upgrade since ATT made possible KitKat :)

    Yes could be an idea, but I' m not a deep user oft Telegramm..

    But anyway... Take a look at the picture...
    ONE YEAR OF WORK, AND MY FIRST KERNEL RUNS!!!
    Compiled with über 4.8 toolchain... So next steps could follow :D

    Happy new year to all of you guys! I don't know exactly, but I think 2016 will be a year for a custom ROM for the I8200 ;)
