Thx for a quick response, here are my findings so far!
I use 3G, although 3G isn't always available, so it is jumping from edge to 3G and I understand that that is using up the battery allot. But that cannot be the main drainer of the battery and I've checked everything else and there are no open programs that use CPU and I don't use WiFi at all, that's what I use 3G for!

I do get about 18h of standby, but if I use it for lets say moderate usage it goes to 10% of the battery in less than 10h!
Moderate = 10min. of surfing, ,maybe 15min of call time, 5 sms's, 2h of FM radio or music player. And that is it, I am afraid to use GPS because I tried it at home for about 10min. and it eat up almost 50% of the battery!

P.S. I'm using the Premium Edge and recommended Radio, and I think it is a real eye candy and works superbly considering everything, and a greater battery life would be such a bonus I would never look to another ROM again.

Hi, Ypsmav, thank you for your quick and indeed very helpful response. Thanks to you, my problem is now completely sorted out. First of all, it is in fact Premium EDGE that I'm using. As you suggested, I calibrated the battery and checked the StartUp folder for unnecessary processes and cleared all of them but 'Lockscreen'. What surprised me most of all was the presence of Kaspersky Antivirus Mobile in the directory in question. I did install it about 10 days ago, but I still hadn't activated it, so I thought it wasn't an active background application process. However, after installing task manager v3.3 it became apparent, that not only it was an active thread, but it was eating CPU time like a hungry polar bear. The really funny bit is that the built-in windows mobile task manager reported CPU usage between 1 and 5% which didn't seem that bad, so it fooled me into thinking that all was well. So that it wasn't. In conclusion, it turned out that I was a moron and it was all my fault. The phone has now been running for more that 12 hours and the battery charge remaining according to the reading is 96%, which is as good as it gets. Once again, I want to thank you not only for your help on this matter, but also for all your efforts you've put into the EDGE ROM development - it is all greatly appreciated. Heads up and keep up the good work!

The battery consumed very fast.

Hi, colleagues,

Since i have installed the rom edge premium 4.0.2 the battery consumed very fast and sometimes hangs the touch hd. Someone could help me with this?

Can you please try the suggestions on my previous post?
Try to calibrate the battery and also to install the rilphone suggested in that post.
In you case, if you have bad 3G reception, you will note a big improvement using 2G when you are not using the internet.

Ok, i'm on swift for a few days. All look good to me.

One thing only. The cab in the first page to remove the rss hub also enable the manila rotation. Cloudy shared a cab that remove the rss hub without enabling rotation, but it set 3x3 quick links grid on homepage. So choose carefully what you are going to use.

Hi there again. I tried everything from your suggestions and the battery life actually got worse, yesterday my battery got to 10% after only 10h, off of a full charge.
Usage was minimal = maybe 2 min. of internet, just 2 calls and a total of 5min. and 5 sms-s!!!!!

I uninstalled that switching app for 2g and 3g because it seamed to drain the battery more than help it!

Any other suggestions?

Ive had some battery issues with this version too. The issues get no better after a cycle. I have no excess processes runing at startup (lockscreen and galarm (an old version)).

I hardly use my phone for phonecalls and texts but it has got push email running. 3g is disabled.

I do watch alot of video on my commute. I need to plug my phone in at my office to keep the battery topped up (have been doing this for months). I guess I watch 1.5 to 2 hours video during my journey home. I used to be left with ~70% with penultimate version of the rom, but with this version I have ~40% remaining.

The only thing I havent tried yet, is replacing the rilphone with the one linked several replies ago. I will try that now, and post back later.

After a few days of using the ROM, I thing I have to thank ypsmav once more....the only issue I noticed is that the screen seems to be slightly less responsive than usual....don't know if it is my imagination
of course I have aligned it, but with no improvement

Here just flashed the Edge version couple of day's ago.
I love the tools, the features and the looks, great great job!

And here also the before mentioned problem from other users. It drains the battery a lot faster then my previous rom.

I haven't configured anything yet, facebook, twitter, e-mail etc. So that couldn't be eating battery all the time. But I'll try it out a couple of weeks, it looks promising
