I saw so many ads online for live channels and movies (including indian channels) but they sell for a lot and doesn't provide any replacement warranty if something happens to the device and they can access this remotely (which I am not comfortable with as they will get access to my home network). So I decided to get the fire tv by myself. I got the version which can be rooted (I didn't open it yet).
Can someone guide me how can I add those indian live channels or should I return it and get the one selling online (already set-up)?
Here's the links for online ones:

Any help is appreciated.

you could subscribe to Dishworld and use that login with slingtv app. It works very well and they give it for $14.95 for the first three months. you can also go back and you will get hd. If you are not based in the US, you could use unlocator which works very well.

Thanks for pointing that out, thats $44.99+$24.99 per month (after first 3 months) for the channels I am looking for. I am trying to cut the costs thats why I want to set up xbmc on fire tv.

After 3 months its $44.99. Whats the 24.99? Are those for english sling? you don't have to get that. And after three call and cancel and they will probably match the 14.99 again. Good luck with xbmc on firetv. I've tried those in the past and those are nothing more than a pain. if even they work.

I did not realize the sling TV apps works for Dish world.
