It apparently doesn't install nothing because it changes a file system that increases your bitRate for videos and your photos compressing the image to 0%, so you will have bigger photos/videos but better photos/videos !!!


EDIT: CameraMod updated,NOW WORKING 3.5 AND 3.0/2.1 SENSE BASED ROMS

Im currently using RCMIX3d RUNNY 1.3 . A few minutes ago I flashed CameraMod , but nothing has changed in my camera app :confused:
perhaps it doesn't work on Runny BASED roms

Hey Feltwo. I'm also using capy's Runny 1.3 and would be interested in getting this MOD to work. If you have any success in that...let me know ;)

It works on every rom sense 3.5/3.0/2.1 it apparently doesn't install nothing because it changes a file system that increases your bitRate for videos and your photos compressing the image to 0%, so you will have bigger photos/videos but better photos/videos !!!

To write a short review:
I just captured my room with some posters on the wall.
Previously I wasn't able to read the text on the posters.
Then I decided to just flash it and I can read it nearly perfect.

    Here's the .XML file with only the changes done to things that should affect image quality. Its not flashable, just backup previous media_profiles.xml to SDCard and use a Root File Explorer (I Use ES) to copy and paste it into "internal storage/system/etc"


    You could also try manually editing the file. the lines
    <!ATTLIST ImageEncoding quality (100|100|100|100|100|100) #REQUIRED>

    and

    <ImageEncoding quality="100" />
    <ImageEncoding quality="100" />
    <ImageEncoding quality="100" />
    <ImageDecoding memCap="80000000" />

    [The numbers are actually (90|80|70|60|50|40) and "90" ; "80" ; "70" ; "20000000" normally]


    seem to improve image quality and size, but I'm not certain what each of the numbers do individually.
