Hey Guys i Create This Thread to discuss all about this tablet
i have found a lot of information about it and i would like to share with the comunity
i'm not a developer ( but i want to become )

but well

here i'm going to be posting stuff relater to this tablet and specifically the model F
LENOVO A5500-F (WIFI-ONLY)

hacks, mods ,tutorials and everything about this tablet

Root tablet

First Of all with our tablet we need ROOT

the only app that i tried and can Root The Tablet is
KINGO ROOT
DOWNLOAD
USB DRIVER
DOWNLOAD


here are the steps to do this
1.-Enable Debugg Mode inyout tablet (settings - about tablet- 7 tabs on build Number-enable usb debug )
2.- Download the Drivers
3.- Connect yout Tabler with your USB cable And Install it with the drivers
4.- Download=>Install==> Launch the KINGO ROOT APP ( LINK above)
5.- Hit ROOT and wait till The magic Happend ..
6.-Enjoy

u can also download SuperSU and set it as main root manager app

Recovery twrp 2.8.0.0

now we r going to install TWRP AS MAIN RECOVERY

ok now there si 2 methods tod install this

METHOD 1
U MOST BE ROOTED TO DO THIS

1.- Download Flashify
2.- Copy the file to the sdcard
3.-open Flashify and give it root permissions
4.- Just in case make a back up of your Stock Recovery Image
5.- flash the image with Flashify (may take 2-3 minutes )
6.- reboot to recovery and Enjoy.!


METHOD 2
U MOST BE ROOTED TO DO THIS

1.- Install Uncle MTK Tools (link Above)
2.- Copy the TWRP image to the Sdcard
3.- open Uncle MTK Tools - Engeniering - Install new Recovery and wait till ends
4.- reboot into recovery and enjoy.!

Restore STOCK FIRMWARE

Hi Guys now i'm gonna teach you how to install the Stock Rom
this is useful when u BRINK your device
so this is a UNBRINK Procedure

FILES TO DOWNLOAD

STOCK ROM
DOWNLOAD ROM
SP FLASH TOOLS
DOWNLOAD FLASH TOOLS

ok after you donwload all the files follow this steps
well in the file of the ROM there is all u need to install the rom

ROM - SP FLASH

but there is no the PRELOADER DRIVER so u need to download the other Flash tools to install just search it inside the folder and install it
Notice that is an UNSIGNED DRIVER so if u r using WIndows 8 or 8.1 you need to diable it after that your r going to be ok

I did it my self and it worked :good:

1.- Uncompress the Rom File
2.- Locate the Falsh Tools Inside

3.- Open he flash tools as ADMIN

3.- Load the Scratter File To flash tools


to thispoint u had to have installed the device in preloader file

HOW>???

turn OFF Your tablet

and connect with the usb cable , soon as you plug in you will the in the Device manager an uninstalled Device as MT
5** PRELOADER or somethink like that

then install it with the driver in the flash tools folder and you are done


4.-HIT FIRMWARE UPDATE to start the instalation
5.- Connect your tablet toh the USB cable and wait till the Program ends
6.- The procces take about 5 minutes
7.- when the process finish u r goint to het a windows with a green circle and your tablet will turn off so UNPLIG THE TABLET
PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON UTILL STARTS

8.- Wait Untill Boot Up
9.- sign in with Google And enjoy Your Tablet

Inside the lenovo

ok i was doing some flashing on the devices and i freeze my tablet on the Preloader mode and i had to disamble the tablet and take the power conector out to avoid that ..

i noticed that there is place for a SIM CARD SOCKET
and a couple contacts in the top ( for speaker maybe)

i tested already on my tablet and works just fine,!!

u need the TWRP POST ABOBE to be able to install it and use it

so install it if u want to try sometring new or just if u dont like Dolby .

DOLBY SYSTEME BECOMES USELESS AFTER THIS

so keep in mind that and do a nand backup !

ya i know im going to try to build a cyanogenmod 11 version for this tablet and then go for a 12 version but first i'm trying and lerning with my NEXUS 7 2012 how to cook a rom then i'll move forward for this lenovo .!!

well i started this thread cuz i saw that this tablet is pretty nice i mean

its 8" resolition 1200x800 (aprox)

its 8" resolition 1280x800 (aprox)

Adnd i mean color si full vivid colors is pretty nice u can see the dislpay from any angle u want i got no distorcion or a PROTHOGRAPH-FLIM Effect
is super brigth

to be honest quite remarcable performance u can do what ever u want and it does easily

i been using it for a out 1 year and it can handle everithing
SONIC RACING sinc the last update is not woking but i dot play too much so is not a problem to me
But my little cusings does so i have instaled a few games to let them play
i use it mostly for reading and broswing , FB , Camera, Mail Checker , music
adn like a mini laptoy i just attach my usb cable via OTG and works just fine

and as u can see u got everything to mod it ( if u r thinking aboit do it ) u got ROOT RECOVERY UNBRINK

and w hope that some developer add to this an try to compile a new rom for it ( i'm learnig how to complile to but its goint to take a wile cuz mediatec devices are a little bit tricky to do some mods, but are cool and u can test if u want cuz if u kill it u can restore via the UNBRINK precedure

the sound is not pretty loud u have to set a ew value in ingeniering mode and u get better sound and louder

( i'm goit to post how soon so if u want to buy it and u want to do so.. ))

and one more thing u got OTA Updates So soon as u buy it u'll get updates cuz comes with JB4.2.2 and is upgrated to
4.4.2 KIT KAT

well u need to install not only compressing and setting the folder

u need to install it from the .ini file so u can install it as android adb devices
i think it says android debug bridge or something try to install it that way and

it would be ok

hi guys well i'm here asking for help my i just brink my tablet and i cant restore it even with my unbrink procedure .. but i find a way to make it.. up and running again and is uploading a backup via twrp pls if u can upload a copy of ur backup's pls do it i want my tablet back to life
when itry to uploa the new firmware says

S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)

if u know obut this problem pls let me know

and if someonw can pls make a full firmware dump with MTK Droid Tools
i would be nice and more usefull

the latest offcicial om is the one its in the link for unbrink u have to flash it and its ready to go. .
loo in the UnBrink post in the thread and u can flash it
the lates rom is kitkat 4.4.2 there is no a newer version for it cuz mediatek dont realease the firmware
