I'm using CM-3.7 rom by MildWild. This is my 1st rom on rooted Desire, wich I did a few weeks ago. So far so good :) Little bit learning on using rooted phone but I'm geting there

Just waiting if someone can get the ICS running smoothly on Desire (no beta version I mean).

Currently I'm using ICS 4.0.4 BCM RC3 CyanodenMod 9 + Tiamat ICS kernel.

Before I have used Sandvold ICS, CynogenMod 7.1 and RCMixS.

I'm still using MIUI for 8 months but I'm thinking to install any of ICS ROM... though all of them are still beta and I don't like that, I prefer wait some weeks/months and intall a full ICE rom.

Ditto on Sandvold's ICS rom. Despite a few BSOD, I'm really pleased with how ICS has performed on my Desire, particularly the latest version (0.5+) which have notably sped up the browser.

I really love miui, been running it for months, very pretty. But its is not as fast as before, and it is especially annoying when the phone rings and I have to wait like 3 or more sek before anything comes up on the screen.

I needed something faster and tried mildwild oxygen roms, very nice and with go launcher and go backup i essentially replicated a lightweight miui experience.

But now I have switched to aurora v6, wanted to see if there are useful sense roms. I love the rsk roms, but sense 3.5 on desire... Better in theory, same goes for ics. Very nice eyecandy but too sluggish for daily use in my opinion.
I'm satisfied with aurora, fast, smooth i will stick with it for a while, but I am a rom-slut ;)

Running dGB atm will probably move to ICS soon as I feel like a change is needed.

Been using dGB for a couple of months. It's brilliant, solves the problem that originally made me root my Desire in a excellent way. Don't have any of the problems I've had with other roms either, heatproblems and slowing down after a couple of weeks.

I got my HTC Desire since Christmas 2010 and the same day I flashed the very popular OxygenRom by Adam G. I updated it until the last Update and have to say, that this ROM is definately the best ROM I've ever used. And trust me boy, I tested a vast number of Desire-ROMs. I love my Smartphone and won't replace it with another device.

Yea it is one of those that i had in mind, the problem is, i went trough the htc desire thread and i was lost with all that data++ and other addons that i dont like. I also found the thread with stock roms, yet those unroot you. What i didn't find, is stock rom that would not unroot my phone. I was searching for something stable, optimized stock rom or something. You got any suggestions? Or a direct link to the rom you had in mind?

guide in my sig by Mr.Mefisto and go down to rooted stock roms

You mustn't compare sense .35 kernels with AOSP kernels. .35 AOSP kernels are really old, but a few of us still use them as we think them better on battery life and SD card trasnfer.

.35 sense kernels are much newer. It is not the same .35

You're going to have to live with your sd card speed if you want to stay on AOSP roms.

I'm using MIUI right now. I like so much :D

I'm using MIUI from yesterday and I found it really nice and smooth and fast buutt, there is a big BUT :(. I cannot copy files to my sdcard using the usb cable faster than 1.5 - 2 MB/s and it is really annoying. Before MIUI I used to play with supernova and copying to and from the sdcard was amazing. Up to 10 mb/s.
