No I have not. Using the newest KOR 3.2 currently. Seems OK. But realistic experience with all these custom kernels varies so much, it's really hard to tell if there's any benefit. Not knocking the kernel devs in any way, but real world I don't see huge gains. Matter of factly I get the best overall experience with stock. Good battery, excellent stability (of course, it's stock), and decent performance. Just an opinion. I'd say the best kernel experience I've had on a custom kernel is KToonz.

Sent from my slightly modded........... phone.

I was also using the KoR kernel but I just flashed the new Eclipse TW and I think that comes with LK so I'm back on that for now

All this thread needs, is optimal settings for each kernel based on user experience! and ususally thats leaving the kernel as is with no cpu control apps and no other tweaks

I really want to keep using ziggys latest kernel because it gives me the best standby and seems to always only run one core at the lowest possible frequency but when I turn the screen off via the power button the screen will not actually turn off. It blacks out for about 4 seconds before actually turning off. This is kind of annoying when I try to turn the screen back on if I forgot to check something or if I'm reading and the screen tries to time itself out, I naturally hit power to turn it back on and it lags. Any fix for this anyone please? I really love the kernel otherwise

If you guys ever use fast charge mode, you risk killing your motherboard, i forgot i had fast charge enabled, when i plugged in my usb audio dac, and it fried the motherboard.. I replaced the motherboard and all is well now, but that is an expensive risk.

I like stock, I really don't mess with settings but I am on synergy and digging ziggy's kernel right now.

First off... This is my thread and EVERYONE IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME IN HERE AND ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO PROVIDE THEM A COPY IN PM...I have absolutely nothing against that

Second... I have registered and I am still waiting for approval

Third... This is a kernel thread... Talking about kernels and asking for PMed links to kernels is the entire purpose of this thread so it can't be cluttered up by those type of posts

Fourth... I asked Real_Jes... not you

HAHA...I bet you thought there was gonna be something awesome here, but it's just a regular old signature

Anthrax updated 2/11 - AROMA installer - one file - all carriers. Compatible with crossbreeder.

I don't think he's got it fully set up but having aroma is pretty awesome already... I've already eliminated CPU apps thanks to this

Anyone use kt747 on the new galaxymod rls16 rom? I couldn't get the phone to wake without pulling the battery if I let the screen timeout.

It worked fine with leankernel and started doing it when I switched. It stopped once I flashed leankernel again.

Did you remove the lean kernel initd script before flashing kt?

I've read about super sleeper app, might have to give it a shot.

I bought it, looking forward to seeing if it helps.

    Hey guys,

As many of us try out the various custom kernels for the various custom ROMs, we like to share our experiences, good or bad. However the problem with doing this is that we often clutter the ROM thread with unrelated kernel talk.

So here is the perfect thread to share your experience.

ALL THAT IS ASKED OF YOU IS THAT YOU LIST THE ROM AND KERNEL AND THEIR VERSIONS IN YOUR POST AND PLEASE DO NOT POST MIRRORS... JUST LINK TO DEVELOPERS THREAD IF LINKS ARE REQUESTED

    THANK YOU

    Yes, slowly but surely.

It would be a lot easier if there were git patches instead of ring kissing for instructions.

A git patch is worthless if you don't know what it's doing or how.
Give a man a fish (or patch) and he eats (or codes) for a day, teach him how to fish (or how to fix code) and he can eat every day (or fix code on his own).

Silver platter or valuable knowledge :) think on that.

It would be easier if devs paid a little more attention to what they were doing instead of whining about git patches to copy from...

    Thread cleaned
I thought I made it clear there was to be no in depth discussion of Anthrax
No discussion of the site it comes from, nor the developer there or his practices!
If you have the Anthrax kernel then you have access to the site, please discuss it there
I will tolerate no disrespect of any developer whether they are on this site or not
Do not come onto XDA inciting any wars about this! What happens there, stays there!
You want to discuss GPL with that developer, make an account there and discuss it with him
Do not post here where only third parties can speak for him
