the chief difference is the android version ;)
But also they changed some UI stuff (settings-interface, phone-interface, ...) and implemented new (ICS) features (e.g. the new clock app).

Have a look at the changelogs since v4 was released and you'll see most of the changes.
Apart from the smoothness they implemented some nice stuff :)

And it's really annoying I can't get my own port working :mad:

When I apply a theme, it doesn't change the messaging, dialer, or the statusbar. How do I get it to change? Or will it not change?

Hmm... try fixing permissions, then rebooting, then applying a different theme. It has always worked for me as far as I can remember.

And devs, any progress with an update to Miui v4?v (Not asking for a release date, just wondering if there's been any progress) I am itching like crazy to get a hold of a MIUI v4 rom that runs well!! :D Seriously... this is like my favorite rom. :p Thanks!

Does anyone know how to fix the market incompatibility problem? My LCD density is 240 (at least according to LCD Modder app).

You can take a look at the build.prop. There are 2 parameters that should effect the market compatibility
ro.build.description=
ro.build.fingerprint=

Ok, so this is what I found:

ro.build.description=4.0.4 Andromadus
release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_vision/vision:4.0.3/IML74K/87995:user/release-keys

I don't really know what any of that means, but it looks normal to me. The build description looks like the name of the ROM and the fingerprint identifies the device as vision which sounds right.

Ok, I'll give it a shot when I go home tonight.

The problem is that the Market says some apps are incompatible with my device (when they shouldn't be). Typically, this is caused by an incorrect LCD density, but I installed the ROM fresh and the density is 240 (default).

Specifically, I noticed that the Yelp! app was incompatible, but there were some other apps as well.

Ok, I tried editing my fingerprint to the one you specified and it did not help :(.

did you reboot and cleared the market app cache?

i want to let everyone know that we finally can look forward to the status pull down bar, dialer and msm themes for miui v4

one of our members "raakaysh" made the first full theme and he gave me permission to look over his theme to make one myself which I already did :)

    • All apks have been zipaligned with latest android sdk for ram optimization, around 100mb is free now.
    • Installing supercharger may yield more free ram.
    • Updated to new base and scrolling tweaks have been applied.
    • Scrolling will be smoother now.

    Terminal emulator still not working, also don't update ES File Explorer, it may lead to force close.

    Guys, the new build doesn't seems nice to me.
    Its security app doesn't let apps ask for superuser permissions on its own. It doesn't turns on on its own and its faulty.
    Also 4 pay power reboot is removed and the build doesn't seems much smooth to me, so in my opinion, lets wait for next weeks build and let me concentrate my efforts on getting you guys a working Sense 4.0 build in the mean time.

    I've solved almost all the issues except the known one on other roms like camera, usb tethering, etc.

    I just need to deodex four apps:
    7digital3.0.apk, camera.apk, phone.apk and htccontacts.apk.

    We can ignore camera.apk for the time being since its not working but we need to work on phone.apk and htccontacts.apk.
