A logcat and screen shot(if applicable)
Provide step by step instuctions on how it happened
XDA name
Type of flash(clean/dirty)

https://code.google.com/p/miui-evita/issues/list

Press Ctrl+C to stop logcat.

Post logcat.txt contents into www.pastebin.com (make sure expire option is on the never option)

FAQ

Q: Why don't I have LTE?
A: If you did a clean flash you will need to turn off data and turn it back on, or wait a bit.

Q: Why cant I send MMS?
A: If MMS doesn't work, try deleting the 2 APNs that are not "ATT LTE"

Q: Wakelocks?
A: Stop using Facebook.. Google Maps causes wakelocks too, but not as badly.

Flashing an OTA update
1. Open GooManager and "Browse Compatible ROMS"
1.png

2. tap on "mirGantrophy"
2.png

3. Navigate to /evita/miui/aosp
3.png

4. Choose the OTA file you want to flash. Flash them in order, IE. flash v1, then v2.
4.png

5. Go back to the main menu on GooManager and tap "Flash ROMs"
5.png

6. Choose the OTA's you want to flash, You can add multiple ones in queue, but make sure v1 flashes, then v2 flashes. Check the "Wipe Cache/Dalvik" option and tap "Flash"

When MIUI updates today, im going to add in hardware mapping, 4.2 camera, 4.2 keyboard, try and fix back lights, and add a few apps in /system/app like Terminal Emulator and Titanium backup.. and rohan's kernel since it will be based on the 12/07/12 cm10 nightly, so it'll work with it

I've been using my nexus 4 as my daily driver so my HTC one x will be on this ROM. Let me know if you need any help with anything!

I'm really looking forward to the hardware mapping and the 4.2 camera and keyboard. I ignored the warning about 4.2 gapps not working right and installed them anyway. The keyboard and camera seem to be working fine. I'm having problems with the Play Store. I'm assuming it's my fault for using the wrong gapps.

I don't really care for pre-installed system apps, but it's your ROM. So, do what you want. ;)

Other than the things listed in the OP, everything things seems to work smoothly. Good work!

I'm gonna keep a close eye on this. I need a stable working phone for work though. Nice to see miui is getting some love for the hoxl. Keep up the good work guys.

Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2

It's about as stable as cm10. Most of the bugs are either on cm10's end or MIUI's end. MIUI is working on releasing v5 to try and fix the bugs on MIUI's end.

Thanks guys!! i will try tonight and report back any new bugs.

Read post 3 on how to report them. :p

I'm having problems with the Play Store. I'm assuming it's my fault for using the wrong gapps.

Could you flash another gapps and see if the play store works? I'm curious about this. Although, it could be user error. :p

It was indeed user error. I just got done wiping and starting over. Everything was fine the second time with 4.2 gapps. I'm not sure what I did wrong the first time. Next time I'll try it twice before posting anything. :p

No biggie, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem with it. I flashed 4.2 gapps yesterday before release and it worked fine.

Update: Bootloop on first port. Looking through my log, it's going to be a challenge. I am off work tomorrow so I will be working almost all day on it.

In v4, the framework had a smali folder called "miui".. v5 doesn't have that in the framework. Which means one of two things, it's moved or it has been broken up and embedded into the entire framework with "tags". My bet is that it has been embedded into the framework with tags.(I hope not because it will make it a sh*t ton harder to get working.

If I am not able to get a successful port, I will release 3.2.22 and wait until the end of the month for v5 to be released to a "portable" device. :(

If anyone wants to know why I didn't release a build Friday.. I spent most of last week and my entire weekend working on... ICJ 4.2.1, I got it to boot, but it force reboots after 30 seconds and is pretty unusable...
I wanted to keep it a surprise, but I guess now is as good a time as any other.. The surprise will come when you see the thread, right?
Don't ask when I'll update MIUI or release ICJ.. they will come when they come
    9
So, I've said that I would have a 3.2.22 release out soon... Scratch that. I've got the MIUI v5(3.3.1) in the works as we speak. This thread will die off, and a new MIUI v5 thread will be opened... Hopefully by the weekend. I HOPE... Don't hold me accountable. :p
