The developer and owner of the thread here is very kind and gently. Some users, the more expert and knowledgeable users the more kind are they too. The rest is a group of people that seems to have mostly bad manners against new users that posting here. And unfortunately forum rules are valid only for others than the "groups" of "not kind" users. So if you want to have constructive conversation better posting when the developer or some others fair and knowledgeable user are active in thread, they will not delude you for sure.I wasn't talking about forum rules. I was talking about steps to follow in order to achieve a specific goal.
I regularly use TCP Server to move files to other Android phones on my home network. This problem I noticed on the Q Beta program, but I didn't report it earlier. Now that Android 10 is official here's the report.
I'm using 2 Pixel 2's in this scenario, one on Android 9.0 and one on Android 10.0. Both have latest MiXplorer XDA Labs version.
-TCP Server successfully starts on both devices.
-9.0 device can successfully send files over TCP to 10.0 device.
-10.0 device CAN'T send files to 9.0 device. Refreshing for available TCP servers on network comes up empty. Repeating the search for running TCP Server on network never finds the running TCP Server on the 9.0 device.
-A parallel test from a third device to send files to the 9.0 device worked, so the TCP Server successfully received files from other Android 8.1 and 9.0 devices.
Please let me know if logs would help.

@HootanParsa here's a logThe developer or users who have experienced the same thing (if anyone else has) might (or might not) be able to say if that is a known limitation or issue. That being said, logs rarely don't help.
Instead of copying/moving from /sdcard try from /data/media/0I don't know if it's been previously answered. But I experience very slow transfer speeds while copying/moving files from internal storage to ext. Sd and vice versa. Speeds start at ~200 mb/s but then slowly drops as low as 500 kB/s.
Tried the same on solid explorer, the transfer speed stays constant. Why is this happening and is there any solution to it?
I dont know what batch select is in ES (generally when talking about another app, you would be better to explain it more detailed, its been a few years since used ES), however, MiX has a batch select of files that are order. If you long press the first file, then scroll down to the last file you want selected, and long press that file, that will select the files in the range, without selecting every file below it.I always liked the feature of batch selection in ES File Explorer, would like to see the same feature in Mixplorer as well. It's really helpful if you wanna batch select the files which are in order but don't wanna select all the files. The feature also helps reducing work time in such operations especially when the number of total files and files to select are quite high, selecting each of them individually would be tiresome. If it is already there, then please LMK. If it isn't, would be glad to see it in future updates @HootanParsa

is it possible to change the folder icon size? if so , i missed that ; apologies.
Pinch to zoom in and out for texts and folders. Or you can create a theme to replace the folder icon.
Negative. MiX is alive.
How do you know?
I've already replied to this exact post but doing so again, just for context.Looks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
I think you misunderstood how updates works in android stable apps.I try this file explorer and like it very much. I always wanna support the dev's and buy the app or send few bucks. The problem here it looks like the project was dead.
When new Android version is released like Android 15 but over a half year no updates it feels wrong to support it.
On Google TV I only find a bug (scan lan network storage crash), rest works fine, on tablet and on smartphone.
Wrong? Use the app and provide logs/info for the dev to fix app-bugs (if any) when he's ready.....over a half year no updates it feels wrong to support it...
I tried a lot of files manager in the past and I legitimately can say MiX is best and the most complete. If you wanna call me fanboy, do it...but well you are here too right? Why? Perhaps because you find MiX the best too? ..otherwise you wouldn't mess around about your placebo needs.I understand but I m not a fanboy. Look what Ultramanoid said. He compare a dead trash app with MiXplorer and talk about beta releases Thats ok but to ask why the last update is 7 months ago, thats not ok.
Let's stick to you are a noob and that's ok but you need to open your eyes to read and understand what most people here trying to tell you. You clearly have a connection to your mind about new android devices releases with app updates. That's totally wrong......I m a noob but this update was released before Android 14 was released and few new devices from Xiaomi, Samsung, etc was released.
Well...and you got the answer that is not and this is how Hootan works all these years.
You came to my words. These updates means nothing.....if there is no need.X-plore exist for 2 decades and I use it on Symbian. What that means? Nothing! Today they collect data and show ads even if you pay. Btw last update was 3 weeks ago.
Still you didn't told us what bugs you encounter.. Or you told us? None! The app is working pretty fine in your devices you just overanalyze your placebo need about updates.
The dumbest thing I ever read is your twisted logic about app updates. And this is your prime here! Thats the dumbest I ever read here on XDA, by far!
I am the dude which is not often here and don't care about "here you can get the app for free" like 95% of all Android users. It doesn't matter if it is 1 or 100 bucks for the app, because I can spend it to another dev.
You need to understand this is a standalone dev and not a company to make promotion posts in socials etc. His time is limited and spreaded to his real job / real life and to this app.Like I said. I thought the project is dead. I check the linked Twitter profil, for some beta, when he was last time online and so on.
Good, excellent, fantastic, amazing!....then I guess you need to calm down your needs for meaningless updates.I don't find any bugs, just some on Google TV but still it's not a big problem.
Oh.. I actually always try to think like a normal user, because I am a normal user...
Your twisted logic is completely wrong, makes no sense. You need to separate these realeses you have in your mind with app updates. This is not how the things works, only in your mind...Stable release of the app, Android 14 released, few new devices like Xiaomi 14, Samsung S24 and so on and months later still no updates. Even if I find some bugs I would think "useless, dead project".
Ok guys, thanks. I'm feeling lazy to search and read rn
Help me be my search engine one more time, any other recommended root file manager for a14?
Hello and good morning, @ledagiwMy guy, my savior. Thanks

Xda search is junk, can't search if not login (i browse on incognito), timeline is messed up
Also i didn't mean to offend anyone, since the burger isn't available
It's irrelevant why you don't want to follow the rules but if you don't it will eventually lead to consequences to your account. I'm convinced this is something you want to avoid.1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
The project is far from dead. HootanParsa regularly takes extended breaks from XDA, months at a time sometimes, but is brilliant with catching up with feature requests/bugs/etc. when they return. For the extent at which most users will use MiXplorer, everything still works great. Obviously there may be some niche issues and the odd request here and there but everything works more than fine, for the most partLooks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
Your post is no. #43,838. That's a strong indicator for the passion and long standing development and support from the developer - despite some breaks in between. You'll have difficulties to find another app having a longer history than MiXplorer. And of course, I cannot speak for the developer, but I'm quite sure, there will be updates in the future. So there are good reasons to support the developer now and in the future.Looks like the project is dead.

Go ahead, ban me. Reason: not use search function
That would be the greatest joke of all time to tell my grandkids
And don't be weak by deleting post instead of addressing the issue, this site obviously horde justice warrior, with the guy inisiated the quarrel, yet you only delete mine.

You said "use an alternative" in your post.
Is there any possibility to open a different viewing app out of MiXExplorer instead of ImageViewer which would allow swiping through the whole folder?
If I click "open with" and choose Google Photos for example only the one picture opened opens in Google Photos and I cannot swipe through the whole folder like I can in ImageViewer.
