Hey!

Coming back to the DHD scene after a while, i decided to go from kitkat to lollipop. Flashed the latest TWRP 2.8.6.1, downloaded the latest nightly "20150502", transferred the ROM zip file to an SD card, chose it from the "Install" section of TWRP, i just initiate the flashing process and the TWRP recovery restarts within a second. I even factory reset and cleaned all the partitions. Any idea why this is happening?

Maybe try an older version of the ROM then you can always update it to the latest

---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:39 PM ----------

Or rather copy & paste it to one of the pastebin services for easier and better viewing experience (I already linked one of these in the previous post):

http://pastebin.com/
http://pastebin.ca/
http://logcat.scheffsblend.com/logcat_submit.html
http://paste.ubuntu.com/
http://0bin.net/

etc. but I didn't think one needs to explain it in words of one syllable at a forum dedicated to far more complicated things than doing a simple copy & paste operation. :)
Hey musta.. Seems like the latest build is not flashing correctly with TWRP

---------- Post added at 12:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:43 PM ----------

Yes, of course but the ROM fails to flash in TWRP. The recovery restarts whenever i try to.
Which recovery are you using

Maybe flashing 2.8.1 twrp would help til musta gets this sorted out..or maybe jrior can fix the twrp issues

This is exactly what i'm facing on flashing CM12.1 nightly 21050503 :( except cm-12.1-20150415-UNOFFICIAL-ace

and the device is S-OFF

I just flashed the 4-23 build as recommended by @marknoll and it worked like charm. Took 5 minutes at the booting logo and 3 minutes for "Android is upgrading". Looks like we have come a long way with reducing first boot up times as i remember that this duration was much longer during the DOGE previews. The ROM works fine, just felt that the battery is dying very soon.

Overclocking makes the system very unstable unlike kitkat. I had some random restarts during initial hours but it died down i dont know how. One issue caught my attention, under the " About" menu, the lollipop official game is pretty laggy. Not that the game is important but i'm looking at it from a view of benchmarking. Does anybody's DHD here play that game smoothly? Just curious..

Overall, a very nice ROM. So it was not an issue with the new TWRP but with the specific nightly. Thank you to the wonderful community here, especially @Mustaavalkosta, @marknoll and others.

Try updating to newest by downloading zip,and flash it on top of 4-23..let musta know your outcome. I did it this way and it worked fine. If it fails, plz post a log cat. Glad it worked for ya.

    General:
These are UNOFFICIAL CM12.0 Lollipop Nightlies brought to you by Open Desire Project and TeamCodefire as a continuum to CM10, 10.1 and 11.0 builds. Builds are generated automatically on Sundays. Process starts around 00:30 PST/PDT. If it fails, then there will be no build until the reason for failure is taken care of which can take time. Last 7 nightlies will be kept on the server. If you want a longer history of them, you are free to archive them yourself.

    DOGE4

DOGE4 is now available for download.

    • paulb_nl's fix for ringtones
    • paulb_nl's fix for Netflix etc.
    • ProximityRecalibrator is using material theme now
    • I don't know if app install issues on DOGE3 have been fixed because I haven't installed gapps yet but at least Timely installed just fine through ADB
    • Boot still takes long (35-40 minutes)
    • Upstream fixes
    • Upstream explosions

    Download:
    [codefi.re][opendesireproject.org][basketbuild]

ps. I've been planning a lot. In addition to already published plan for OTA updates, I'm considering to merge and rewrite device settings and proximity recalibrator into a single app. I don't see any reason to keep 2 similar apps separated. This is not commitment to actualize these plans into reality, just letting you know what's been on my mind. I'm exercising my freedom to jump when I want to jump with these tasks. It's a hobby after all. :)

    Happy holidays!

TL;DR: No new build. Happy holidays! I'm ignorant scum.

I've been sick with flu and fever since last week and haven't got anything new done. I'm already getting better though and wanted to throw out a new build with the latest upstream changes before taking a break for the holidays but it seems that something has broken something that breaks surfaceflinger (or hangs up on that) and it just floods warnings at boot and boot doesn't go forward. So, no new build before holidays and upcoming codefi.re server maintenance. ETA is unknown for the time being.

Anyways, happy and peaceful holidays for everyone spending them this time of the year! I'm quite ignorant piece of sh*t when it comes to different cultures and this Christian influenced holiday season where I reside so no idea what kind of things different cultures are doing. I don't care much about religions and for me it'll be only about being with my family so even if you don't have any kind of holidays right now I think any time is good time to spend a moment with your loved ones or even thinking about them. I hope most of us should be able to accomplish that. :)

Let's see how far we can get next year!

A little teaser of the possibilities now with our own server: http://i.imgur.com/TuqWT9N.png

First successful test with the backend server and cm-11.0. There's still a lot to figure out before this is shippable though so no ETAs yet. Hopefully it's ready for cm-12.0 nightlies before we start those. :)
