Thank you for submitting this. I've been working hard on trying to resolve this issue. I installed Hardy in Virtual Box and installed Adbuix onto that and got the same results you did, so i'm hoping to get this fixed soon. Thank you for your patience.
And also...
Thank you to everybody for the support. Please continue to submit any comments or questions to this thread.
Thank you very much for the feedback and the screenshots. It's really cool seeing this on other computers.
Thank you for your feedback!Awesome job dude! thx It's very useful and work nice on Ubuntu 9.10
I will probably put it in universe once it's out of beta stages. And i will add rythmbox integration to the to-do list.or you're going ppa way ?

Thank you very much for the advice. It's been frustrating trying to get it to work for hardy. But i suppose i'll give that up for now.I wouldn't spend too much time debugging for hardy...being that 10.04 is around the corner.
if you cant see an easy fix you should just post that it needs jaunty or higher.
Will add to the to-do list. Thank you for your suggestion.i'd also enable the "burn rom to device" icon with automatic name conversion of rom to update.zip, move to /sdcard and reboot to recovery.

I will probably release an OpenSuse version in the future once Adbuix is stable. Either that or let somebody else make the port, i haven't decided yet.No love for other distros? I can probably make a binary for OpenSuse if I have the source and know the needed deps. Looks good though!
Thank you for your feedback, I'm adding a log system into the next release which will allow me to debug any problems.Hi!
Program works ok on my ubu9.10 with my G1. BUT... it cant see my applications, only system apps, but nothing else.
Anyway good start, i wish you good luck
That's strange. ^ See above post about the log system in the next release ^yes it is

i actually will pretty soon. once i get it stable enough for beta testers i will post in the forum.
After the Linux version is all done i will eventually be making a windows versions and maybe a osx version in the future. I guess it all depends on if this really becomes that popular or not.
I am using Gambas 2 by Benoît Minisini. It's pretty much Visual Basic for Linux. You can check it out here: http://gambas.sourceforge.net
This looks pretty cool, I can't wait for it to be released. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for the support. It makes all the hard work worth it.
After I installed the adbuix on my Ubuntu 9.10 64bit my HTC Kaiser stopped connecting to my computer. It seems to be a USB driver problem, when I plug my device it tries to connect but hangs, I can see the message in the taskbar "USB debugging connected" 5 times, as if trying to establish the connection, but disappears after that. Neither had the opportunity to test the adbuix because my device is not connecting.
Anyone know if the adbuix is compatible with 64bit system?
I tried uninstalling adbuix from my computer to see if my device connects again, but nothing.
I tried the following:
$ sudo apt-get uninstall adbuix
$ sudo apt-get purge adbuix
my device still not connecting.
Anyone know what else I can try to have my device connecting again?
note: in my other computers not installed adbuix still perfect!
UPDATE (January 10, 2011):
This project has not been abandoned, I've just been dealing with some personal things and haven't had time to work on this. My plan for Adbuix is to completely rewrite it using the GTK+ Toolkit or the Qt Toolkit (haven't decided which one) so that the program can run by itself without any dependencies and will be able to be complied for any operating system easily. This is going to take some time but it will definitely be worth it. So check back here, or check my website for updates. Thanks!
