Damn it man... I was watching the Cleveland/Boston game and thought "I wonder if anyone released any updates?" I didn't exactly expect to see much, but now i'm going to miss a chunk of the game because I want to flash this and play with it.

Damn you guys and your badass ROM releases. Damn you! LOL

(thanks for this though, been waiting to see what you guys were putting together for the update)

Is it possible to have the Menu key to unlock changeable via Sapre Parts?
I really like the option where i have to swipe.

Also im also very curious on how 3D/Video is being accomplished

the background of the boot screen is scaled up from a low-res image, does not look as good. it repeats too much and a bit annoying to keep a big bright screen for so long.

Hey guys, first time OpenEclair user, long time Cyanogen user.

So I'm trying to flash this ROM, but I'm getting this error

Code:
copying files...
E:Can't symlink /system/xbin/bb/dirname
E:Failure at line 73:
/system/xbin/busybox SYSTEM:xbin/bb/dirname

I googled for it, and found some folks talking about symlink issues, and people said it had to do with formatting the SDcard. So I repaired mine using Amon_Ra's recovery image, and tried again, but no dice.

Help?

I haven't had this issue and I am a long time Cyanogen User also. I always wipe everything... factory reset, dalvik, and ext using Amon_Ra's recovery image. I have been jumping back and forth flashing different roms and I have yet to have an issue.

OK, here's what I did, step by step:
-Extracted the OpenEclair 1.2.2 zip onto my SD card (I realize this was wrong)
-Wiped data and Dalvik via Amon_Ra's recovery image
-booted into cyanogen and opened terminal emulator
-flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
-reboot

My phone restarts, and hangs on the TMobile G1 Screen

-I reboot into recovery, and realize that you can install from zip files. I realize my first mistake of unzipping the file.
-I pull my sdcard and download the openeclair file again, and place the zip file on my sdcard. I carefully remove only the files I unzipped from the OE zip file, knowing that the "apps" folder had some files in there already, so I left those.
-reboot, recovery, install zip from recovery

That's when this error shows up. So I back up, pull the SDCard again, download the latest Cyanogen and try the flash it. It installs fine, but now when I reboot my phone hangs on the TMobile G1 screen.

****.

So I do a Nand restore, and the phone boots into really old android that came on the G1. yikes, but ok. So I try and install OpenEclair now, via recovery image, same error. I install cyanogen, and my phone again hangs at TMobile screen.

Help?

All I can think of is that you may not have waited long enough when on the G1 screen. It can take a really long time to get to the splash screen.

The real reason I'm posting now is to say congrats to the devs. This ROM is a winner. I only ran it for a few hours because I rely heavily on bluetooth, but I still enjoyed it enough to recover my TI backups, rearrange my home screen shortcuts and even make a nandroid backup. I'm recovering my OE 1.0.1 nandroid backup as I type, but I cannot wait to see 1.2.next with working BT. So Chris and Wes an anyone else working behind the scenes: get enough sleep, take your time, I'll keep watching you on twitter to see when the BT fix is ready. I'll see if I can pull together a little beer money while I wait.

No boot problems

Hello toekneebullard. If you sdcard isn't properly formatted with linux-ext-swap, it can cause a no boot situation. It should go like this: Fat32 / Ext3 - 500mb/ Linux-Swap 128mb. This setup will work for most ROMs with or without swap. Regards:)
