Hey DevinXtreeme, Do you know if you can use the Overclock Widget from the market with your kernel? Would you recommend it? Or not? If so, how do you set it up cuz I get confused :-(
I don't know how well OC Widget works, I don't use it. Personal distaste since the Hero days. SetCPU has an automatically detect settings option. After you run that, use the sliders to adjust min and max. I use 200-1600. Set the governor to conservative or interactive.
Also, the numbers people are getting are JITless.

No. JIT operates at the VM level, not the kernel. This has no JIT.

My scores are about the same. Weird thing is, the phone seems to perform better when setting the max cpu to 1200. Even though the benchmarks are lower, the app drawer opens faster, window transitions are smoother and faster, apps open quicker. All of that stuff seems to lag when set at 1600.
Is there a fix for the vibration vibrating weird?

I love this @#$(*& kernel!!! <33333333 Been running it all day and its so sexy smooth. no lag, no market issues, no weird reboots, no weird shutdowns. damn this **** is great.
Remove "bootani.qmg" and "bootsamsungloop.qmg" from /system/media. You can then add a bootanimation.zip in /system/media with any custom animation you like, just as we did in SyndicateROM.
Awesome for the quick reply but astro doesn't have permissions, is this a task for abd? Haven't ventured to abd yet. Any quick suggestions would be great.

rm /system/media/bootani.qmg
rm /system/media/bootsamsungloop.qmg
Have never flashed a custom ROM till dat on my Epic though I'm on rooted DI18. Would like to definitely try the Shuriken SuperSlim (which I presume doesnt have the Xtreme Kernel bundled with it), so if was to go ahead, would I first have to flash this kernel and only then go ahead with flashing the SuperSlim from SD card?
Sorry for what probably is an extremely noob Q, but I couldnt find any procedures as to how a newbie should approach this
Alternatively if somebody could just point me to a flashing tut put up specifically for the Syndicate, I'd be more than happy
de de deeeYour probaly the only one stupid enuff to try.
THERE IS NO CUSTOM KERNELS FOR FROYO
