I tried to build the displaylink-mod driver but always failed to compile it. Therefore I think the udlfb driver is the better choice as it has already been compiled for the nexus one as explained here: http://plugable.com/2010/06/09/the-nexus-one-phone-top/ It should not be too hard to make it work on the hd2 but I need to focus on my exams right now.I seached in the forum but was unable to find out if somebidy actually succeeded in building a displaylink-mod linux kernel framebuffer driver.
If the answer is yes than i would be grateful if someone can give me a link where i can download the driver. Since i'm not a linux guru an howto install guide would also be welcome.
From twitter:
I have everything done I wanted in order to put together next hd2 ubuntu release -except for usb host mode.
This is very exciting! Hope he gets usb host mode sorted out soon.
Hello mate
First of all, thanks for the great work. Its amazing using ubuntu on the hd2 )
Do you have any idea on when we can expect audio to work, is there any news?
Thank you in advance.
Does Haret does someting of log when it fails to start?
I downloaded it yesterday and now i'm trying to run it, however it refuses to start - after running Haret, it displays several lines very fast that it says it's going to reboot... the last line i can see is something "not automatically fixing this"
All happens too fast to see what goes wrong...
Nope, using Arthemis rom v 60. I thought it might have something to do with my SD card (messing up with other files), but tried on a clean SD and still same result.
