I have P760 model for a year and a half now and it is starting to be painfully slow.
Do you suggest me to make only a HW reset or should I upgrade to some custom rom?
I you suggest to upgrade, can you please tell me where to start - I have seen that there is some L9 Toolkit - will it do all the things that are necessary to upgrade to custom rom?

First you need to unlock your bootloader because it's required for flash custom ROM. Then install a custom recovery. After that download a ROM, flash with recovery and enjoy
