Hi all I have a problem in the tablet xperia z2 sgp511.
Until three days ago I could lock and unlock the bl, today I wanted to relock to clean all but known that it is always unlocked BL.
I wanted to put with flashtool firmware 402 then I'm going to lock the BL me error.
I try with fastboot tells me that is already root.
Two questions: How can I check if the BL is locked or unlocked?
The other if the BL is unlocked how can I block
I apologize for the bad english I'm with the translator

Install "Xperia Service Menu" or something similar app from PlayStore. Open it and go to Service info/Configuration. Read the line "Rooting status". If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: yes/no" your are with locked bootloader.

Does this work with the latest firmware, .314? I'm looking to try out the PAC man rom but I haven't unlocked yet so I don't have a recovery besides NUT's.

Yesterday I tried to lock the BL nothing to do gives me the same errors.
I try to change the ROM cm11 then flash the kernel with flashtool error.
I try to flash the ROM with TWRP cm11 error does not always know what to do to stop the BL.
Even with fastboot I tried telling me that my device is already root.
A strong help

I tried the kernel and the tab wouldn't boot; I also heard a high pitched whistle, from the speakers. I have reverted to stock.

ME, and probably like other hundreds of people we don't answer since WE HAVE NOT a real answer, so please stop begging. :p
Someone reported that old exploit doen't works with 4.4.4 (just googled, noting sure), but it's easy to understand that who NEED root won't try the new firmware until we are not SURE it will be rootable.
Actually who cares about 4.4.4 if we lose root? :confused:

i don;t care about that, i moved to cm last night, Z got android L port, the bootloader on nexus is the same with 4.4.4 but on L you need to modify the selinux to permissive to get root

      2. kernel is insecure (ro.secure=0)
      3. adb debugging is enabled by default in OS

      for flashing this kernel you WILL NEED TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER! Check this thread for more info (same steps as Xperia Z1 are used for Xperia Z2)


      UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER WITHOUT TA BACKUP WILL LEAD TO IRREVERSIBLE LOSS OF DRM KEYS!!!


      AND YES CAMERA STILL WORKS AFTER UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER!!!

      [ how to flash this kernel ] (via fastboot)
      1. download the kernel image
      2. save the boot.img to the folder containing fastboot binary
      3. flash the boot.img using fastboot:
        Code: 
        fastboot flash boot boot.img
      4. reboot from fastboot
        Code: 
        fastboot reboot
      5. the device should now start booting
      6. enjoy!

    Rooting Instructions





    [ how to root ]

    • once you have flashed the kernel from the 1st post
    • download the latest SuperSU update.zip from: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
    • save it on sdcard of device
    • reboot into recovery
    • flash the supersu update.zip
    • reboot from recovery into OS
    • you should now get proper root access!


    [ installing busybox ]


    • it is highly recommended to install busybox after rooting!
    • just go to andorid play store and download the busybox installer.
    • once the installer is downloaded, install busybox in /system/xbin
    • reboot device after install and thats it!

    have tested a recovery kernel for SGP521 (WiFi+LTE) on firmware 17.1.A.2.55 on @swedan tablet! (thank you @swedan for helping out in development testing!!!)

    interesting observation: the wifi only kernel works fine on LTE devices... so I want some volunteers!!! can some WIFI only users please flash this (kernel posted in this post) and test if it boots and if things work well on their wifi only tablets?
