Off topic (if that's possible), I just went to get my brakes checked. Every time I brake my car vibrates, and it feels like it is jerking back and forth. This has been going on for, oh... um... about 2 months. Yeah, I know. I suck. I run with the whole "it'll fix itself" school of thought. So anyway, the guy tells me something along the lines of "You brake too hard... there are depressions in the pads... we need to resurface your rotors." Yaaaaay...
You want a "crappy car" story? Heres one for you. I have a '97 camaro. My tags were due in October so my tags are expired. I paid for my registration. I just cant get the tags because my stupid car needs a smog check every two years. Well I cant pass smog because my check engine light is on. Smog places wont pass a car with the light on. So I have to figure out whats wrong with it. I have the code that tells me what the problem is, but that code can mean a lot of different little things. So its a matter of replacing stuff one by one and seeing if the code clears.
Thats crappy enough, but to add to that, one morning on my way to work, my car started overheating. Bad. Smoke coming out, temperature gauge in the red. Just bad. Made it to work though and actually barely made it back home after putting water in the radiator. Well I changed out the thermostat to start and started adding antifreeze. While adding it, I noticed it was just pouring out the bottom. So my radiator has a hole in it and needs to be replaced. Fun stuff. I've been getting rides to work for the past few weeks just waiting for my paychecks so I can fix my stupid ass car. Beat that. lol.
