here you go ...
both of them kind of show how it is.. its pretty much like blackout but the popup is grey ... so a version like that would be very sick :D... and is there any way to emulate the dots seperator rather than the line in the suggestions bar?

Edit: I found the wp7 sounds in another forum... they are attached (i improvised a bit because some sounds didnt match)... use root manager to put them into /system/media/audio/ui/ and change permissions

.. backup ofcourse

I downloaded the window 7 theme keyboard and I really like it. Anyway to remove those! @#$ stuffs on top of keyboard. It looms a bit messy. I just want to keep the numbers. And one more question. How do I change the sound of the keyboard. I downloaded the wp7 sound but idle how to change it

to change the sounds (download the zip i put up a few posts ago)... it has 4 sounds in it

you need to use root explorer and move them into /system/media/audio/ui folder
youll see the same named sounds there... delete those keyboard sounds first and then paste these over...
last step is to change the permissions to match (just hold on a file popup will show permissions option > look at how the default ones are and change the new sounds u copied permissions)

... if the sound is too high or too low u can use audiomanager widget to increase/decrease the system sounds

... hope that made it easy enough :)

First of all, big thanks to Camalot, s0niqu3, and Fabolous for making this possible.

This mod takes Camalot's Blackout (modded from my original Blackout) Gingerbread keyboard and adds some Nero green highlights. It has Fabolous's autocorrect fix and Jocelyn's flashable zip package.

Some people said there was issues with the MOD not taking, so a new DL is being provided. No changes have been made beyond resigning the apk file. If the Keyboard works for you, no need to reflash.

Nothing came up when I searched, but anyway to make this work better with different dpi? I much prefer 200 to 240, but it makes the keyboard much shorter (same width, less vertical space). It's A LOT harder to type and forces me to stick with the default dpi (the only reason I have to do so too).

Has anyone reported the following problem of 2.2.116?
When I long presee u,i,o, and p, the default are not 7,8,9, and 0.
Other than this, the keyboard is really good. Thanks.

Uhm, I tried installing all the 2.2116 updated ones, didn't remove the smiley thing. (It's suppose to remove it from text messaging, and whatnot, right?)
I'm running Nero 5, uhm, yeah.. :|

Edit; Oh, and I tried deleting the apk files and whatnot from system/apps. I did read all the pages.

in response to post 293: creator2456, can you update your blackout version to reflect this? its bothering me now :p

I was planning on starting (and hopefully finishing) these by yesterday. Didn't happen because my MBP died deader than a corpse. Should have it back by Friday and I'll try to get them out by this time next week.

Ok, BIG change starting with 2.x. I am now running a froyo (jk6) build so I will be doing more work with froyo based keyboards instead of the eclair based ones. I will not have any way to test the eclair builds any longer so if someone wants to take them over, send me a message and I will give you the sources (including build scripts).

With 2.x I have started to use the gingerbread keyboard that has been floating around. 1.x builds will continue to be eclair based.

NOTE: Currently the 2.x builds WILL replace your stock keyboard. In order for the auto-complete, I had to revert to using the stock package name. You cannot have more then one of these keyboards installed at a time. I will change this as soon as I find a solution.

I'm absolutely not responsible for anything that happens to your phone from installing this.

    Change Log
    v2.2.127

    • now replaces "GingerbreadKeyboard.apk"
    • settings should be fixed...
    • minor tweaks
    • blackout versions now in their own thread. (thanks to creator2456 for the work on those)
    v2.2.116
    • removed the smiley from the "normal" mode.

    v2.2
    • Haptic Feedback works
    • fixed popup punctuation outputing the wrong character
    • fixed a ui issue with wp7
    • changed the green popups in wp7 to a blue

    v2.1
    • added smileys to normal mode next to the return key
    • added domains to the "/" popup in web mode and added them to the "@" popup in email mode
    • fixed the settings button again (have to remember to check-in the code :p)
    • moved the "," to the default spot in the punctuation popup.

    v2.0 (froyo +)
    • first gingerbread based build for froyo based on Fabolous v2 with auto-correct fix.
    • it is basically stock with some tweaks.
    • added smiley images to popup
    • changes "orange" to the samsungish blue.
    • changed the punctuation popup to contain more items
    • added the "shift" char to the numbers (!@#$%^&*())
    • tweaked the "blue" glow
    • auto-complete now working
    • suggestion colors are now touchwiz like colors
    • fixed issue with bringing up settings from the keyboard button
    • fixed the popup for "P" so they all fit.
    • added additional hint key info for top row.
For Eclair (2.1) based builds, see my second post (post #3)

To install the 2.x versions, install package with CWM.

Note: This are English Only. The other languages have been removed. This gets the size WAY smaller, plus I don't speak anything else so I couldn't edit them if I wanted to.

thanks to creator2456, s0niqu3 and Fabolous

    Gingerbread Stock w/Green highlights

This is the only version of this keyboard that seems complete. However the only thing that's keeping me from it is a stock orange theme, or at least stock with green accents. Not a fan of the blackout themes on any keyboard.

I guess I could put together a stock w/ orange and one with green. Not sure when I will get them done though.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S

Well, here we are. The stock Gingerbread keyboard with green highlights. Enjoy.

    s0niqu3 said:
Flash with clockwork recovery, please note that this will overwrite any existing LatinIME.apk (default android AOSP keyboard) so if you use one of the older droid x mods that use the same internal package name, you need to manually delete the apk file from /system/app, look for something like dxkeyboard.apk or multitouchkb.apk

And I believe this only works on froyo builds, and you need to have the newest voice search installed for it to work.

    Cheers everyone, =)
